1. Why smart bus attendance system?

Safety is the foremost requirement for any institution and parent, SABS give the comfort and
control of a well-designed system which provide complete features for transporting little angles
from home to school and back.

2. Background:
The death of three-year-old girl, who died from heat exhaustion. When she was accidently locked
inside a school bus, shocked the UAE community last October. She fell asleep on her way to school
on October 7,24. The bus supervisor did not check the back seat before locking it up. The girl tried
to survive by deinking a bottle of water & lunch. As there were signs of her banging on the door
& stitching her face on glass to call for help.

3. Base:
Due to busy work hours and tight schedules a large number of parents depend on school vehicles
for daily transportation. But unfortunately, safety becomes an issue for children. So, the school
bus attendance software was created to tackle their issues with modern day technologies such as
GPS & RFID.

 GPS:

GPS is short for Global Positioning System, and it is quickly becoming an integrative part of our

their ground stations.

 RFID:

RFID stands for Radio frequency identification. The acronym refers to small electronic devices
that consist of small chip and an antenna. The chip typically is capable of carrying 2000 bytes of
data or less.

 Parent App:
i. Advance notification on arrival of bus on stop
ii. Monitor school bus route with map view
iii. Instant notification/ SMS alert, if child misses the school bus
iv. Direct call to attendant (in emergency)

This system allows the school management to know exact no of student entered the school
campus the exit device record exact time & update on cloud for parent & School

Admin has access to view the vivid fleet status via map which shows bus stops & school
buses exact locations. Admin also see the detail info of school buses including driver,
attendant name with total number of students picked up etc.

 Advantage for Students:

i. SMS for bus reaching for pick up - No long waiting period in harsh weather.
ii. Real time view of all buses of the school including its speed - can take other bus in
case of missing own bus.
iii. Automatic attendance on reaching school.
 Advantage for Parents:
i. SMS delivery to parents for
(On child reaching School and on departure from school)
(Bus timings for pick up)
ii. Alerts in case child is being dropped at another place than the designated place
iii. Parents can look up school bus in Real Time
