FOR
KONCREFLEX MD 3mm
This specification assumes concrete pull-off strength greater than 1.5N/mm2, application
temperature 10-35°C, and moisture content below 5% wt./wt.
This specification should be read in conjunction with relevant product technical data sheets.
1 SURFACE PREPARATION
1.1 Enclosed scarify old paints or shot blast new concrete to open-up concrete pores to
expose clean, dust-free concrete surface.
1.2 Grooves are cut around perimeters and columns to tuck-in at the edges which are the
weakest point.
2.1 Mixing
Pack components are pre-weighed for optimum performance. Never split or proportion
packs.
Stir Base A to re-disperse any settlement. Add Hardener B to the Base A container and
mix with a forced action mixer and helical spinner head for 2 minutes, taking care not to
entrain air.
2.2 Application
Immediately after mixing, spread it over the prepared concrete by rolling evenly to seal
any porosity. Leave to cure for 12-24hours.
Add Filler C2 and Hardener B to the mixing vessel. Mix with a slow speed drill (500-600
rpm) and helical spinner head for 20 seconds. Add the Base A and mix for 20 seconds.
Add the Filler C1 and mix for 120 seconds until the mixture is uniform taking care not to
entrain air.
3.2 Application
Immediately after mixing, spread the Koncreflex MD using a steel trowel onto the sealed
floor, to the required thickness.
Immediately, roll with a spiked roller to release any entrapped air. Do not roll the
surface after 4 to 8 minutes after application, dependent on temperature. Late spike
rolling will cause surface texture.
4 TRAFFICKING
Allow to cure at 30°C:
- 12 hours for foot traffic.
- 24 hours for common industrial spillages and heavy traffic.
- 5 days for fully chemical cure
Application of KONCREFLEX MD 3.0mm.
