Production Planning(PP-PI): Configuration Document

1. Purpose
This configuration document gives the information on customization specific to your
business process.

2. Scope
This configuration is based on business process requirement given by the business
users during implementation.

3. Resource and Master Recipe

3.1 Define Control key.

Transaction code OP67

IMG menu PP PI  Master Data  Master recipe  Data for

Operation and Phases  Define Control Keys

Use:
The control key specifies the business functions you want to carry out with an operation
and how the SAP System processes an operation.

3.2 Define Formula parameter for Resource:

Transaction code OP17

IMG menu PP-PI  Master data  Resource  Capacity

requirement planning  Formula for resource Define
formula parameter for resources

Use
Formula parameters are used in formulas for capacity planning, scheduling, costing,
PRT management and determining standard values using CAPP.

3.3 Define Standard Value key

Page 5
Production Planning(PP-PI): Configuration Document

Transaction code OP19

IMG menu PP-PI  Master Data  Resource  General Data 

Standard value Define standard value Key

Use
The standard value key determines the meaning of the six standard values in the
operation. The SAP System assigns a parameter ID to the standard values of the
operation.
The parameter ID in turn determines:
 the key word displayed for the standard value on the screen, for example,
Processing time, Power etc.
 the dimension (for example, time, quantity, volume) of the standard value
At the same time, the parameter IDs are the names used for the standard values in
formulas for the calculation of
 Processing time
 Power
 Capacity requirements etc.

3.5 Define Control recipe Destination

Transaction code O10C

IMG menu PP-PI  Process Management  Decentralized

process management  Define and set up Control
recipe destination

Use
By defining a control recipe destination, you specify:
 Whether the process instruction of a phase is transferred to an external system
or is converted into an R/3 PI sheet for a line operator
 Which system or line operator processes the process instructions of a phase

4.3 Define Checking control

Transaction code OPJK

IMG menu PP-PI Process order  Operation Availability

check Define Checking control

Use
you define the check control. The checking rule together with the checking group
specify the scope of the check.
You can make the checking rule as well as the actual check itself dependent on the
following parameters:
 plant

Page 15
Production Planning(PP-PI): Configuration Document

 order type
 operation

The operation can have the following characteristics:

o order created
o release(d) order

Use
Using the confirmation parameters, you define
 which entry screen the system displays as standard
 which data the system proposes when you make entries
 the level of inspection severity you require

Page 19
Production Planning(PP-PI): Configuration Document

Use
In this step you define the parameters for scheduling process orders for each plant,
order type and production scheduler. It comprises maintenance of
 scheduling levels (detailed-, production-rate and rough-cut scheduling)
 date adjustment when deadlines are exceeded
 scheduling control for detailed scheduling
 reduction

Use
 specify that in a production order or process order particular business
transactions are carried out in parallel
 specify that automatic goods receipt should take place etc.
