Nuptial Mass
Introductory Rites

Commentator: Good afternoon dear family,

relatives and friends. Today, we
are gathered here to witness the
union of mind, heart and body.
There is a moment in each of our
life when life itself gains a richer
meaning because it is shared
with love.

For Princetom and Ahden, this

moment has come. Through the
joyous feast of love which we are
about to celebrate, let us, as
witnesses and as a whole
Christian community, pray for
Princetom and Ahden that they
may be filled with God’s
abundant graces as they start
their new life together.
(As the Bridal Entourage walks down the aisle, the faithful
are requested to stand until after the processional song.)

Entrance Hymn &

Processional March
Bishop: Let us now begin this solemn
celebration of the wedding of
PRINCETOM and AHDEN. In the Name of
the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit.

People: Amen.

Bishop: The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and

the love of God, and the fellowship of the
Holy Spirit be with you all.

People: And with your spirit.

Penitential Rite
Bishop: Dearly beloved, PRINCETOM and
AHDEN, God is love and has in mysterious
way, drawn you together in love. But He
leaves you free to make that love grow of
to let it wither and die. The Lord will help
you forge a future for your love, if you do
your share, when you stand to the
commitment to love and honor one
another in good times and in bad, in
poverty and in plenty, in sickness and in
health, for better and for worse, in that
covenant which you are about to seal.
Insert it into that other covenant which we
celebrate each celebration of the mass.

Bishop: My brothers and sisters, to prepare

ourselves to celebrate this joyous occasion
wherein we have PRINCETOM and
AHDEN to receive the Sacrament of
Matrimony, let us call to mind our sins and
beg for God’s forgiveness (Brief silence)

Bishop/People: I confess to Almighty God and

to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned in my
thoughts and in my words, in what
I have done and in what I have
failed to do, (striking the breast)
all say through my fault, through
my most grievous fault; therefore I
ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all
the Angels and Saints, and you,
my brothers and sisters, to pray
for me to the Lord our God.

Bishop: May Almighty God have mercy on us,

forgive us our sins and bring us to
everlasting life.

People: Amen.

Choir: KYRIE

THE GLORIA

Opening Prayer
Bishop: Let us pray. Father, you have made the
bond of marriage a holy mystery, a
symbol of Christ’s love for his Church.
When you created mankind, you willed
that man and woman should be one. Bind
PRINCETOM and AHDEN in loving union
of marriage and make their love fruitful, so
that they may be living witnesses to Your
Divine Love in the world. We ask this
through Christ our Lord, Your Son, who
lives and reigns with you and the Holy
Spirit, One God, Forever and ever.

People: Amen.

Liturgy of the Word

Commentator: Please, be seated for the liturgy
of the Word.

Commentator:

Marriage means a great sharing of

selves. To pray together opens up a
new and deeper level of this sharing.
To pray is to place our life and our
fortune in our Father’s hands. God
has destined suitable partner to the
one who seeks for God’s guidance
and favor. Let us listen to the First
reading from the Book of the
Prophet Sirach.
First Reading

Lilibeth: A reading from the book of Sirach

The throat can swallow any
food, yet some foods are more
agreeable than others; As the
palate tests met by its savor, so
does a keen mind insincere
words. A deceitful character
causes grief, but an
experienced man can turn the
tables on him.
Though any man may be
accepted as a husband, yet one
girl will be more suitable than
another: A woman’s beauty
makes her husband’s face light
up, for it surpasses all else that
charms the eye; And if, besides,
her speech is kindly, his lot is
beyond that of mortal men. A
wife is her husband’s richest
treasure, a helpmate, a
steadying column. A vineyard
with no hedge will be overrun; a
man with no wife becomes a
homeless wanderer. Who will
trust an armed band that shifts
from city to city? Or a man who
has no nest, but lodges where
night overtakes him?
The Word of the Lord.

People: Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm

Nepthalie: Let our response be: Blessed the

man who greatly delights in the Lord’s
commands.

People: Blessed the man who greatly delights

in the Lord’s commands.

Nepthalie: Blessed the man who fears the

LORD,
who greatly delights in his commands.
His descendants shall be mighty in the
land;
a generation of the upright will be
blessed.
People: Blessed the man who greatly delights
in the Lord’s commands.

Nepthalie: Wealth and riches shall be in his

house;
his righteousness shall endure forever.
Light shines through the darkness for
the upright;
gracious, compassionate, and
righteous.
People: Blessed the man who greatly delights
in the Lord’s commands.

Nepthalie: It is good for the man gracious in

lending,
who conducts his affairs with justice.
For he shall never be shaken;
the righteous shall be remembered
forever. He shall not fear an ill report.
People: Blessed the man who greatly delights
in the Lord’s commands.
Nepthalie: His heart is steadfast, trusting the
LORD.
His heart is tranquil, without fear,
till at last he looks down on his
foes.
Lavishly he gives to the poor;
his righteousness shall endure
forever;
his horn shall be exalted in honor.
People: Blessed the man who greatly delights
in the Lord’s commands.
Rebecca: Love is from God. No one has ever
loved us than the One who created
and made us sharers of his goodness.
In a Christian Marriage, A man’s love
for his wife is patterned after the love
of Christ to his bride, the church. A
wife that is deeply loved by her
husband cooperates and submits
herself to the wisdom and
countenance of her man. Just as Jesus
is united to his Church, man and
woman is united in body and spirit in
the sacrament of Matrimony. Love
unites, creates, heals and builds.
Let us listen to the Second Reading
from the Letter of Paul to the
Ephesians.

SECOND READING

Reena: A reading from the epistle to the Ephesians 5:21-

33

“Be subordinate to one another

out of reverence for Christ.
Wives should be subordinate to
their husbands as to the Lord.
For the husband is head of his
wife just as Christ is head of the
church, he himself the savior of
the body. As the church is
subordinate to Christ, so wives
should be subordinate to their
husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives,
even as Christ loved the church
and handed himself over for her
to sanctify her, cleansing her by
the bath of water with the word,
that he might present to
himself the church in splendor,
without spot or wrinkle or any
such thing, that she might be
holy and without blemish. So
also husbands should love their
wives as their own bodies. He
who loves his wife loves himself.
For no one hates his own flesh
but rather nourishes and
cherishes it, even as Christ does
the church, because we are
members of his body. “For this
reason a man shall leave his
father and his mother and be
joined to his wife, and the two
shall become one flesh.”

This is a great mystery, but I

speak in reference to Christ and
the church. In any case, each
one of you should love his wife
as himself, and the wife should
respect her husband.
The Word of the Lord.

People: Thanks be to God.

Rebecca: God lives in eternity. He sees the

past, present and the future. He is
the One who placed everything
according to his plan. He is the
Divine Cupid who destined lovers
and couples. When God unites, He
blesses and sustains. The
Indissolubility of Christian marriage
is founded on God’s promise that he
will always be with those couple who
put their trusts in His providence
and omniscience.

Let us all stand to honor the Holy

Gospel.

Choir: Sing “ALLELUIA”

GOSPEL

Bishop: The Lord be with you.

People: And with your spirit.

Bishop: A reading from the Holy Gospel

according to Mark.

People: Glory to you , O Lord Jesus Christ.

Bishop:
Jesus said:
”From the beginning of creation, God made
them male and female. For this reason a
man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and the two
shall become one flesh. Therefore what God
has joined together, no human being must
separate.”

The Gospel of the Lord.

People: Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

Commentator: Please be seated for the homily.

Preface
Bishop: The Lord be with you.

People: And with your Spirit.

Bishop: Lift up you hearts.

People: We lift them up to the Lord.

Bishop: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

People: It is right and just.

Bishop: It is truly right and just, our duty and

our salvation, always and everywhere to
give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father,
almighty and eternal God. For in him you
have made a new covenant with your
people, so that, as you have redeemed
man and woman by the mystery of
Christ’s Death and Resurrection, so in
Christ you might make them partakers of
divine nature and joint heirs with him of
heavenly glory. In the union of husband
and wife you give a sign of Christ’s loving
gift of grace, so that the Sacrament we
celebrate might draw us back more deeply
into the wondrous design of your love. And
so, with the Angels and all the Saints, we
praise you, and without end we acclaim:

Bishop: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God of

Hosts.
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of
the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

Commentator: All kneel for the Consecration.

Bishop: You are indeed Holy, O Lord, and all you

have created rightly gives you praise, for through
your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, by the power
and working of the Holy Spirit, you give
life to all things and make them holy, and you
never cease to gather a people to yourself, so
that from the rising of the sun to its setting a
pure sacrifice may be offered to your name.
Therefore, O Lord, we humbly implore you: by
the same Spirit graciously make holy these gifts
we have brought to you for consecration, that
they may become the Body and + Blood of your
Son our Lord Jesus Christ at whose command we
celebrate these mysteries. For on the night he
was betrayed he himself took bread, and
giving you thanks, he said the blessing,
broke the bread and gave it to his
disciples, saying:

Take this, all of you, and eat of it: for this

is my body which will be given up for you In a
similar way, when supper was ended, he took
the chalice, and giving you thanks he said the
blessing, and gave the chalice to his disciples,
saying:

Take this, all of you, and drink from it: for

this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the
new and eternal covenant which will be poured
out for you and for many for the forgiveness of
sins. Do this in memory of me.

Bishop: The mystery of faith

People: We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and

profess your Resurrection until you come again.

Bishop: Therefore, O Lord, as we celebrate the

memorial of the saving Passion of your Son, his
wondrous Resurrection and Ascension into
heaven, and as we look forward to his second
coming, we offer you in thanksgiving this holy
and living sacrifice.
Look, we pray, upon the oblation of your Church,
and, recognizing the sacrificial Victim by whose
death you willed to reconcile us to yourself,
grant that we, who are nourished by the Body
and Blood of your Son and filled with his Holy
Spirit, may become one body, one spirit in
Christ.

Concelebrant 1: May he make of us an eternal

offering to you, so that we may obtain an
inheritance with your elect, especially with the
most blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, St.
Joseph her spouse, with your blessed Apostles,
and glorious Martyrs and with all the Saints, on
whose constant intercession in your presence
we rely for unfailing help.

Concelebrant 2: Advance the peace and

salvation of all the world. Be pleased to confirm
in faith and charity your pilgrim Church on earth,
with your servant Francis, our Pope and Jose,
our Bishop, the Order of Bishops, all the clergy,
and the entire people you have gained for your
own. Listen graciously to the prayers of this
family, whom you have summoned before you:
in your compassion, O merciful Father, gather to
yourself all your children scattered throughout
the world. To our departed brothers and sisters
and to all who were pleasing to you at their
passing from this life, give kind admittance to
your kingdom. There we hope to enjoy forever
the fullness of your glory through Christ our Lord
through whom you bestow on the world all that
is good.

Doxology 
Bishop: Through him, with him, and in him,
O God, almighty Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all glory and honor is yours, for ever and
ever.
People: Amen

The Communion Rite 

Bishop: At the Saviour’s command and formed
by divine teaching, we dare to say:

All: Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom
come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in
heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against
us.
And lead us not into temptation but
deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Blessing of the
Spouses
Bishop: The Bishop, with hands joined, calls upon
those present to pray, saying:

Let us humbly invoke by our prayers, dear

brothers and sisters, God's blessings upon this
bride and groom, that in his kindness he may
favour with his help those on whom he has
bestowed the Sacrament of Matrimony.

All pray in silence. Then the Bishop, with

hands extended over the spouses continues:
Holy Father, maker of the whole world, who
created man and woman in your own image and
willed that their union be crowned with your
blessing, we humbly beseech you for these your
servants, who are joined today in the Sacrament
of Matrimony.
May your abundant blessing, Lord, come down
upon this bride, Ahden and upon Princetom
her companion for life, and may the power of
your Holy Spirit set their hearts aflame from on
high, so that, living out together the gift of
Matrimony, they may adorn their family with
children and enrich the Church. In happiness
may they praise you, O Lord, in sorrow may they
seek you out; may they have the joy of your
presence to assist them in their toil, and know
that you are near to comfort them in their need;
let them pray to you in the holy assembly and
bear witness to you in the world, and after a
happy old age, together with the circle of friends
that surrounds them, may they come to the
Kingdom of Heaven. Through Christ our Lord.

People: Amen

Sign of Peace 
Bishop: Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your
Apostles:
Peace I leave you, my peace I give you;
look not on our sins, but on the faith of
your church, and graciously grant her
peace and unity in accordance with your
will. Who live and reign forever and ever.

People: Amen
Bishop: The peace of the Lord be with you
always.

People: And with your spirit.

Bishop: Let us offer each other the sign of

peace. Then the spouses and all present offer
one another a sign of peace.

People: Peace be with you.

Bishop: Behold him who takes away the sins of

the world. Blessed are those called to the supper
of the Lamb.

People: Lord, I am not worthy that you should

enter under my roof, but only say the word and
my soul shall be healed.

Concluding Rite 
Bishop: Let us pray:
Having been made partakers at your table, we
pray, O Lord, that those who are united by the
Sacrament of Marriage may always hold fast to
you and proclaim your name to the world.
Through Christ our Lord.

People: Amen

Solemn Blessing
Bishop: May God the Eternal Father keep you of
one heart in love for one another, that the peace
of Christ may dwell in you and abide always in
your home.

Response: Amen.

Bishop: May you be blessed in your children,

have solace in your friends and enjoy true peace
with everyone.

Response: Amen.

Bishop: May you be witnesses in the world to

God’s charity, so that the afflicted and needy
who have known your kindness may one day
receive you thankfully into the eternal dwelling
of God.

Response: Amen.

Bishop: And he blesses all the people, adding:

And may almighty God bless all of you, who are
gathered here, the Father, and the Son, + and
the Holy Spirit.

Response: Amen.

Bishop: Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by

your life.

Response: Thanks be to God.
