SUBJECT OUTCOME:
At the end of the semester the Grade 12 Senior High School learner are expected to:
1. Define the key concepts (media, information, technology literacy, and media and information literacies).
2. Compare and relate media and information literacy framework to their own understandings and competencies.
3. Identify the importance of proper sourcing of data.
4. Appraise the value of ethical use in communicating information of their daily lives.
5. Discuss how media personalities/influence of media could greatly affect society.

GENERAL SUBJECT DESCRIPTION: This subject will give the learners activating prior knowledge, understanding the concepts, checking understanding, reflecting concepts
and enriching knowledge. First it will provide an introduction to media and information literacy. In addition it will assist the learners in understanding the news, media and
information. Followed by enhancing one’s knowledge on media, technology and the global village. Lastly the learners will expose the individuals to languages in media and
information. This could be achieved through effective communication to improve the learners ability to apply and understand media and information literacy.
