iNo term sharingfor House committee chiefs'
OLLOWING the term-shar-
ing proposal of President
Duterte, the 54-member
Party-list Coalition on Tuesday ap-
pealed to Taguig Rep. Alan Peter
Cayetanb and Marinduque Rep.
Lord Allan Velasco to ensure con-
sistencies in committee chairman-
ship this 18th Congress.
1-Pacman Rep. Michael Romero,
president of the Party-list Coali-
tion, said cohsistencies are impor-
tant for smooth and fast approval
of priority measures.
"For us congressmen, we like to
make it as consistent as possible.If
theywill choose the chairmanship
itshouldbe for three vears because
it is very hard to change midway,"
sa.id Romero. The 18th Congress
will have 60 standing committees
and 15 special committees.
The Party-list Coalition is ask-
ing for a 2O-percent allocation or
15, committee chairmanships
