material”?

Answer: See attached Landscape Base Specifications, sieve gradient.

Question: “Is the 100mm perforated pipe shown in Detail 2 different than the proposed 100mm pipe
shown in Detail 1”?

Answer: Yes, but PVC pipe is also acceptable.

10. Thickness of Base Course

150mm base course. Which depth of base course is going to be specified one”?

Answer: 150mm depth. The landscape spec says minimum 100mm but we want 150mm.

11. Geotextile

structural fill. Please specify the geotextile at this location”.

Answer: Nilex Nonwoven 4545

Detail 3 on Sheet LD-05C shows one (1) concrete slide. Please clarify how many concrete slides
are required”.

Answer: There is only 1 concrete slide as shown on Detail 3, LD-05C. The confusion on LD-05E
may be a rending issue. On image 2 the central staircase is poorly defined and may have been
interpreted as a slide. This stair shows more clearly in image 4 / LD-05E. The second slide is a
plastic 5” tall slide as shown on Detail 3/ LD-05B.

14. Timber Stairs

Question: “On Detail 4 under the “Notes” it calls for all steel to be hot dip galvanized. Is the rebar to
be hot dip galvanized or will regular rebar suffice in this instance”?
Answer: The rebar can be painted with Galvacon or be epoxy coated to provide full rust protection.

Question: “What is anchoring the stairs from lateral movement or long-term creep of the soil”?

Answer: Each landing has two vertical post anchors as shown in the detail. Assume an additional
10 x 2.4m long, 6x6 Pressure treated lumber with a 900mm long rebar stake. This will provide 10
deadman elements for the staircase where it is acting against the slope. This will be detailed in an
SI post tender.

Question: “Please provide the height for each of the three (3) vertical climbing logs as currently the

Question: “There appears to be 6 logs climbing structure shown on the Drawings LD-03E. However,
the logs are not dimensioned for lengths. Please provide dimensions for each of the 6 logs as
shown”.

Answer: The logs are 2 at 3.3m long, 3 at 4.0m long, and 1 at 5.3m long. There will be some

23.9m.

aggregate sub grade. Please specify if this is to be ¾” crushed material or something else”.

However, the 150mm depth of 19 minus is required to support the concrete curb wall.

Question: “Also it calls for filter fabric between the sand and aggregate sub base. Please specify the
model and type of filter fabric that is required”.

Answer: Nilex nonwoven 4545.

18. Subgrade Elevations

Question: “On Sheet L-02 on the left-hand side it states, “Note: Site will be delivered at subgrade
