poles over 6ft in height. Electrical specifications and Dwgs. have no indication on requirement.
Clarify intent”.
By: Janice Haynes

2. Additional grades added per Drawing CV-05A GRADING PLAN A and CV-05B GRADING PLAN B.
3. Gutter elevations added in Drawings CV-05A GRADING PLAN A and CV-05 GRADING PLAN B.
1. Landscape Detail 2 updated per Drawing LD-05C PLAYGROUND DETAILS – added 6 separation
plates.
2. Landscape Detail 3 updated per Drawing LD-05C PLAYGROUND DETAILS – minor dimension and
reinforcement changes.
4. Marathon Surfaces Inc. information included in LD-05A PLAYGRPUND DETAILS Detail 1 and 3
Answer: 150mm depth. The landscape spec says minimum 100mm but we want 150mm.
11. Geotextile
Question: “On Detail 3 on Sheet LD-05A it calls for a geotextile between the sub grade and
structural fill. Please specify the geotextile at this location”.
Answer: No substitutions.
Answer: There is only 1 concrete slide as shown on Detail 3, LD-05C. The confusion on LD-05E
may be a rending issue. On image 2 the central staircase is poorly defined and may have been
interpreted as a slide. This stair shows more clearly in image 4 / LD-05E. The second slide is a
plastic 5” tall slide as shown on Detail 3/ LD-05B.
Question: “What is anchoring the stairs from lateral movement or long-term creep of the soil”?
Answer: Each landing has two vertical post anchors as shown in the detail. Assume an additional
10 x 2.4m long, 6x6 Pressure treated lumber with a 900mm long rebar stake. This will provide 10
deadman elements for the staircase where it is acting against the slope. This will be detailed in an
SI post tender.
Answer: 1.5m, 2.0m, and 2.5m from the top of the metal girdle.
Answer: The logs are 2 at 3.3m long, 3 at 4.0m long, and 1 at 5.3m long. There will be some
flexibility within the layout, but the logs should be near these dimensions and combined total of
23.9m.
Answer: ¾” crush or 1” crush or torpedo drain rock are acceptable beneath the playing court.
However, the 150mm depth of 19 minus is required to support the concrete curb wall.
Question: “Also it calls for filter fabric between the sand and aggregate sub base. Please specify the
model and type of filter fabric that is required”.
19. Question: “With reference to the Unit Costs provided in Addendum #2, is the Unit Cost for Retaining
Wall “B” as requested on Sheet 10 of 12, the same as Detail 4 on Sheet LD-01A”?
Answer: Correct
6. General Items
