Madam:

May I request permission to conduct a SCHOOL LAC Session on July 12, 2019, 3:00 P.M., to be held at
Maslog Elementary School. Participants in this activity are 13 adviser teachers and 1 subject teacher
with an expected number of 14 attendees charged to MOOE and school funds.

The objectives of the said LAC SESSION are the following:


1. Review of Classroom Observation Tool (COT)-RPMS rubrics appropriate to the level of the
teacher for the 1st quarter period;
2. Plan the lesson according to the indicators expected for the particular observation period;
3. Receive technical assistance by the observers and come up an agreed CO schedules per
teachers.

Attached is the LAC Session Proposal. I hope for your favorable approval on my request. Thank you
very much.

LAC SESSION PROPOSAL

I. LAC SESSION TITLE


TWO-HOUR SCHOOL LAC SESSION OF 1st Quarter CLASSROOM OBSERVATION REVIEW AND
MONITORING TO ALL TEACHERS IN MASLOG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, SIBULAN 1 DISTRICT,
DIVISION OF NEGROS ORIENTAL

III. DESCRIPTION OF THE LAC SESSION & LEGAL BASIS


This LAC session intends to provide a technical assistance for the teachers by the
observers, the Masters Teachers and School Head. It makes all things agreeable, mutually
understood and clearer what to be than during CO for both the teachers and observers.
As per DepEd Order No. 35, s. 2016, paragraph no. 2, states that through this policy, the
DepEd fully supports the continuing professional development of its teaching personnel
based on the principle of lifelong learning and DepEd’s commitment to the development
of teachers potential aimed towards their success in the profession. This can be done
through the school-based LAC, which primarily functions as a professional learning
community for teachers that will help them improve practice and learner achievement.
With the DepEd order No. 42, s. 2017, paragraph no.4, further states that The PPST aims to
set out clear expectations of teachers along well-defined career stages of professional
development from beginning to distinguished practice; engage teachers to actively
embrace a continuing effort in attaining proficiency; and apply a uniform measure to
assess teacher performance, identify needs, and provide support for professional
development. Thus, this school initiates to conduct of the said LAC session to help the
teachers and master teachers achieve a continuing professional development and
advancement of teachers based on the principle of lifelong learning.

IV. OBJECTIVES
1. Review of Classroom Observation Tool (COT)-RPMS rubrics appropriate to the level of
the teacher for the 1st quarter period;
2. Plan the lesson according to the indicators expected for the particular observation
period;
3. Receive technical assistance by the observers and come up an agreed CO schedules
per teachers.
