1 RM Series II Hand Chain Hoist
1.1 Features
 Load chain guard that holds chain to pockets of load wheel for safe operation
 Treated steel shafts, gears, load wheels
 Load chain wheel with four accurately made pockets
 Double-shielded ball bearing supports the main shaft of the load chain wheel
 Top hook suspension
 Hooks are treated alloy steel and equipped with spring-return safety latches.
 Shank of the hook is encapsulated to allow the hook to rotate 360o.
 Hook opening inspection marks
 Dual pawl, Weston style brake with two brake friction discs
 Overload limiting device (except the ¼ ton [250 kg] unit)
 Load chain: high strength alloy steel with galvanize finish
 Hand chain: steel with a galvanize finish
 Weight of the hand chain – 0.28 lb/ft [0.417 kg/m]
 Covers: steel with RAL1021 (dark gray) powder coating – matches C3 category in DIN ISO 12944-2
 Ambient temperature: -4oF – 122oF [-20oC – 50oC]

3.1 Features
Operating control lever

Load Hook Lever/Handle
The lever puller is used for lifting, lowering, pulling and stretching within its rated load. Loads are lifted or
positioned by ratcheting a handle/lever. The RL lever puller consists of:
 Steel body and handle with chrome finish - thickness 40 μm
 Rubber grip on handle
 360o handle rotation
 Load chain guard that holds chain to pockets of load wheel for safe operation
 Hooks swivel 360 degrees and equipped with spring-return safety latches.
 High strength alloy steel load chain with galvanize finish
 Dual pawl Weston style brake with friction discs – holds and controls the load in either direction
 Free-chaining capability
 Accessible operating control lever
 Over-travel restraint on the free end of the load chain

7 RPT Push Trolley & RPTC Hand-geared Trolley
7.1 Features
The cross shaft of the RPT push trolley and the RPTC hand-geared trolley is suitable for the top hook of the manual
chain hoists or the manual lever pullers. The top hook of the hoist or puller can attach directly onto the cross shaft.
The shaft is specially shaped to keep the top hook centered in place.
Most RPT and RPTC trolley models have two beam flange width ranges to cover a wide range of beam flange
widths. In these cases, there are two cross shaft lengths, one for each range.
The trolley wheels are single flange and crown-tread type suitable for Wide Flange beams or tapered flange
beams.
Wheel bearings are deep-groove sealed ball bearing type, which are permanently lubricated.
Safety drop lugs and bumpers are standard. The material of the bumpers is rubber. Bumper dimensions are
included with the trolley dimensions.
Ambient temperature: -4oF – 122oF [-20oC – 50oC]
RAL1021 (dark gray) powder coating – matches C3 category in DIN ISO 12944-2
The link diameter and pitch of the hand chain for the RPTC trolley is 5x23.7. The hand chain is steel with galvanize
finish. Weight of the hand chain is 0.28 lb/ft or 0.417 kg/m. The hand chain wheel includes hand chain guard.
Capacity range of the RPT Push trolley models is ¼ ton [250 kg] to 5 tons [5000 kg].
Capacity range of the RPTC Hand-geared trolley models is 1 ton [1000 kg] to 10 tons [10000 kg].

9 Definitions
Chain Overhaul: Number of feet (meter) the hand chain travels to raise the load hook one foot (meter).
Chain Pull: Nominal force or effort exerted by the operator to the hand chain/lever to lift the rated load and keep
it in motion.
SWL: Safe Working Load
Free-chaining: Allows the operator to adjust the position of the load hook when the lever puller is not under load.
Ton: 1 ton equals 2,000 lbs
Kilogram (kg): 1 kg equals 2.2046226 lbs
