These young researchers keep on protesting for the burden brought by this subject in their SHS life. However,
at some point we cannot blame the students for their whispers, yet will we just only look for the predicament

Research is one of the core subjects of the Senior High School students in the accordance of K-12
curriculum and every SHS students are obliged to have their own- made study which serves as one of their gate
passes before they would graduate. Research means to carefully analyse the problems or to do the detailed

out in the study conducted can be beneficial for everybody.

specializations. It also aims to provide the best solution to some of the world dilemmas and the revealed results
will lead to improvement, revision, and new ideas.
Working out on a research project is obviously a challenging yet rewarding experience especially for
students. As young cosmopolites engage themselves in research endeavors, the formers are being well-versed
in the field. Giving them a privilege to coped up easily with the research task when they got college due to the
practice they have while they are in their SHS journey. New born researchers are getting opportunity to pursue
an in-depth original study or any topic that interest them which enables their mind to be exercised in critical
thinking which also a good side of having a research.
Looking more for the brighter side of this issue, students also learn to create balance between the
collaboration and individual work. They are also having a proper understanding of the subject in going to
profound and detailed analysis. This also serves as a way for them to learn how to clarify their own confusions
on certain things that bring troubles to their young minds.
Similar with other circumstances, conducting a research also emit bad effects for learners in different
aspects. Students face various dilemmas may it be on their physical, mental, financial, and even their emotional
facets. These aspirant researchers are having a lack of sleep in doing their study, making them prone to diseases
that can eventually make inactive in school. Students are also clamouring for the big expenses brought by
research. The money being used in printing, accessing in the Internet, transportation fees, and many more are
also one of the complaints of students as well as the parents.
Furthermore, this widely emerging matter is also the cause of students’ stress and difficulties in
school. The headache it brings hold them in focusing on their other school related works such as quizzes, exams,
projects, and performances. The worst it may give is depression for student who cannot overcome the struggle.
This is the situation where we do not want to happen.
In as much as we want to condemn research, admit it or not, by dealing with this matter we can
endure bittersweet moments. This is already accompanied with both positive and negative things.
We have to face the reality that while we are living, everything that surrounds us carries good
and bad effects. Now, in the field of research, it is already up for the students on how they will look for the two
faces of research.
