Reading Assessment and Individual Reading Inventory were discussed.
Rhodora Navarro, Ruby Ecle, Danilo dela Rosa, Raquel Eballar, Myrna
Legada and Analeah Suba constructed and submitted Test questions for
Construction of Division Unified Test in Old Cabalan July 17-21, the Division Unified Test in English.
English Integrated School 2017
Josephine A. Lising, principal IV assisted and checked the test made by
teachers above.
Filipino and English teachers with the assistance of Filipino and English
Coordinators administered Project Reader, Project KABASA and PHIL-IRI
(Pre-Test) during their classes.

KABASA and PHIL-IRI (Pre-Test) Integrated School closely monitored the conduct of the said activity. Learners reading ability
were identified Proper interventions were given to learners under non-
reader and frustration level.
Learning Area coordinators submitted the report to the Division office.
90 elementary and secondary teachers attended the seminar proposed by Dr. Danilo
M. Dela Rosa and Mrs. Donna May B. Provindido, supervised and closely
monitored by Rodolfo I. Cayabyab, Head Teacher and Josephine A. Lising,
Principal IV.
Echo Seminar-Workshop on Test Construction
Old Cabalan September 8 & Speakers of the training were Rodolfo I. Cayabyab, Danilo M. Dela Rosa, Ed.D.,
and Provision of Technical Assistance on Test
Integrated School 15, 2017 Moises T. Vallo and Josephine A. Lising. Dr. Corazon Dumlao of Tapinac SHS
Construction
were invited to be one of the speaker who discussed the Validation of Test Items
and Item Analysis.
Teacher-participants were equipped with the necessary knowledge on the
preparation of Test items and were given technical assistance.
Dr. Danilo M. Dela Rosa and Albert Llego, Teacher III and Michelle C. Calimbas,
Master Teacher I successfully presented their Action Researches. Josephine A.

2017 Research Congress Lising, Principal IV attended this event to support her teachers.

Dr. Danilo dela Rosa and Michelle C. Calimbas, won 1st and 2nd Best Presenter
respectively.
Albert Llego Teacher III and Michelle A. Calimbas, Master Teacher I served as

Division Research Congress Nov. 7-8 Paper Presenter (Completed Action Research Paper).
Conference Hall
Dr. Danilo M. dela Rosa, won the Best Paper in the Elementary Teacher Category.
Euzabelle Chavenia, Roan Mostoles, Raquelle E. Torres, classroom teachers and
Division Communication Enhancement Training- Ruby A. Ecle, Master Teacher I, attended the Communication Enhancement
Regional Science High Nov. 27-29,
Workshop for English Subject Teachers in the Training-Workshop.
School 2017
Elementary and Secondary Schools Participants were informed of the latest trends in hosting programs and developed
conversational skills for effective communication.
Dr. Danilo M. dela Rosa, English coordinator in the elementary department
conducted the following reading activities:
-mystery reader;
-story reading;
-story telling;
-poster making contest; and
-story writing contest.
Right after the flag ceremony on November 27, Dr. dela Rosa discussed about the
celebration and the importance of reading. He also make mentioned of the father of
Old Cabalan November 27-
2017 National Reading Month Philippine literature “Nick Joaquin”. Rhodora A. Navarro, Master teacher served as

the Mystery Reader of the story “Sinigang”. Other stories were also read by
Michelle Mediodia, Grade 3 teacher, Jaewon Galiza Grade 4 pupil and Klerenze
Sef Borras, English club president.
Pupils found the activity very exciting and enjoyable because of the questions being
raised after every stories. Pupils who answered the questions correctly were given a
gift and some cash prizes sponsored by the coordinator and the principal.
Josephine A. Lising, principal IV encouraged the pupils to read more to become
more literate not just by reading the lines but to read between and beyond the lines
for better understanding.

7-Day Region-wide Training Pedagogical Teacher-participants were equipped and retooled with the necessary knowledge,

Danilo M. dela Rosa and Aprilone Peralta, Reading Coordinators requested the
Old Cabalan Integrated reproduction of the Phil-IRI materials both I Filipino and English.

School Materials were reproduced in preparation to the administration of the Phil-IRI post-test
using the MOOE Fund.

Phil-Iri Post Test both in English and Filipino were administered to all pupils to
measure the rate of improvement in their Reading and Comprehension Skills in
Administration of the Phil-IRI post test both in Old Cabalan,
February 2018 both Oral and Silent reading.

The result of the post-test shows that the remediation conducted by the teacher
concerned was effective.
