“Dance”

1. What is dance ?
Dance is a performing art form made up of sequences of
human movement chosen deliberately. This motion has
aesthetical and symbolic significance and has been recognized
in a specific culture as dance by artists and observers.

2. What is the importance of dance in Physical Education

It is a crucial element in the education of a child in the


motion. Students learn how to dance when using elements of the
motion structure for creating dance sequences. There was a
mistake. The significant thing to note is the significant
importance of "traditional" dances, such as squares, folk and
social / ball rooms in physical education.

3. What are the different kind of dances?

Ballet dance - is a type of performance dance originating in the


fifteenth century during the Italian renaissance, then evolving in
France and Russia into a concert dance form. Since then it has
become a generalized, extremely technical dance with its own
French vocabulary.

Tap dance - Tap dance is a dance type that uses the tap-ship
sounds as percussion. Tap dance is one type of dance. The
sound consists of shoes with a metal tap on the head and toe.
Jazz dance - Jazz dance is the performance and style dance
that arose in the early 20th century in Brazil. The dance of jazz
may be vernacular jazz, Broadway jazz or theater jazz. These
two types are based on the vernacular African American style of
jazz dance.

Folk dance - People who represent the lives of the individuals in


a nation or region are developing a folk dance. Not every ethnic
dance is folk dance. For instance, ritual dances or ritual dances
are not regarded as folk dances. Because of their intent, ritual
dances are generally called "religious dances."

Modern dance - Mainly from Germany and the United States in


the late 19th and early 20th centuries, modern dance is a wide
type of Western concert or theatrical dance. Modern dance is
often regarded as a refusal of classical ballet or rebellion.

Lyrical dance - Lyrical dance was defined as a style of ballet,


jazz, acrobatics, modern and hip hop which still retains its
autonomy.

Hip hop dance - Hip Hop is also known as Street Dance as


urban dance style. Edgy, crude, and intense Hip Hop. Hip Hop
is the founder of popping, locking and crowding, mainly in rap,
urban and hip hop. Usually dancers wear high-end sneakers,
funky bright sneakers as well as traditional Hip Hop Shoes.

Contemporary dance - The contemporary dance embodies


ballet, contemporary, jazz and lyrics. It utilizes ballet technology
as its basic principles and produces far larger motions which do
not follow the rigid laws of ballet and modernity.

Recreational dance - Recreational dance relates in particular to


any type of dance performed for the benefit of society, culture,
education, health, social dance and amateur dance instruction.
