of Engineering Job Description

We're looking for a Head of Engineering to join our SC Ventures India Private Limited. This role will be an
integral part of the Ventures team, designing, testing and implementing new tech stack for ventures,
evaluating technology of fintech partners, and leading development of prototypes to solve problem
statements.

We are looking experienced, seasoned technology professional or entrepreneur who have hands on
building deep-tech/SaaS products. Someone who think to build next tech platform which can solve
problem at massive scale. Someone who live for code and breathe for code.

Job brief
● The position is responsible for the technology developments.
● Development of a technical and operational strategy, metrics tied to strategy
● Responsible for the end-to-end technology architecture and platform
● Technology thought leadership, developing product road map and go-to-market strategy.
● Technology selection, technology architecture and building huge scalable systems.
● Evaluating and identifying appropriate technology frameworks and deployment stack for
delivering the products
● Strategy, planning and prioritization of development and deployment in line with the product
and business strategy
● Building, leading and retaining a high caliber team
● Fostering innovation and creativity, Strategy & planning, Project mgmt., Implementation &
deployment.
● Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and
initiatives.
● Assess and communicate risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.
● Provide research and thought leadership on technology transformation.
● Collaboratively adapt existing and develop new product plans, processes and communication
standards for the development teams.
● Assigns, schedules, trains, reviews, and monitors project work to ensure that progress is within
expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget.




Requirements
● Proven experience in a similar platform development & sustenance role
● Interacting with internal and external stakeholders
● Ability to thrive in a loosely structured, highly dynamic environment
● Deep knowledge of current technological trends - frontend, backend, data, cloud, mobile,
blockchain, machine learning
● Hands-on development, and a proven track record of creating innovative rapid prototypes in all
our technology choices
● Experienced in delivering successful agile projects
● Knowledge and experience in evaluating the potential impact of technology, and the suitability /
alignment / adoption within the context of a larger enterprise
● Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
● Ability to communicate with all teams on technology
● Graduate Degree (or above) in Computer Science/Maths/Physics/similar
● Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
