4. Procedures

4.1 Introductory Activity Randomly call 3 students and let them recall idea/s that they have learned from the
previews meeting. Give additional 10 points for those who can share 3 ideas and above,
10 minutes 7 points for those 2 ideas, and 5 points for those who can share 1 idea.

4.2 Activity
Explain

1. Guide every group on choosing the right Research Design by exploring more on
30 minutes the variable/s presented on research question number 3.
Example:
2. Let the students think critically how the variable/s are being studied.
Example:
Experimental Research Design – the only type of research that directly attempts
to influence a particular variable, and when properly applied, it is the best type
for testing hypotheses about cause-and-effect relationships.
Correlation Research Design - correlational studies investigate the possibility of
relationships between only two variables, although investigations of more than
two variables are common. In contrast to experimental research, however,
there is no manipulation of variables in correlational research.
Descriptive Research Design – The major purpose of surveys is to describe the
characteristics of a population.

4.3 Analysis
Extend

Give the students time to analyze and share their thoughts on their members and let
10 minutes them choose what kind of Research Design does their study fits.

4.6 Assessment In a ¼ sheet of paper evaluate the students understanding by
giving them a short quiz.

Let them read each research title and let them choose the
correct research design for every research topic.
