Removal Procedure
Start By:

a. Remove the alternator belt. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator Belt - Remove and
Install" for the correct procedure.

NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

1. Remove bolt (2).

2. Remove grooved idler pulley (4) from bracket (3).

Typical example

1. Position grooved idler pulley (1) onto bracket (3). Loosely tighten bolt (2).

2. Tighten bolt (2) to a torque of 44 N·m (32 lb ft).

End By:

a. Install the alternator belt. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator Belt - Remove and
Install" for the correct procedure.
