1. Distinguish aerobic from muscle-and-bone strengthening activities
2. Explain how to optimize the energy systems for safe and improved performance 3. Observe personal safety protocol to avoid dehydration, overexertion, and hypo and hyperthermia during MVPAs to monitor and/or adjust participation. VI. Engaging Activity or Motivation: The class will be divided into 5 groups. The students will come up a KWL Chart about Physical Fitness The students shall dance accompanied by the music while a ball is passing. As soon as the music will stop the one who’s holding the ball will be the one to answer KW. Answer the ACTIVITY 1: Physical Activity Questionnaire The students will be given a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) Part I to be answered. VII. Instruction ( I do ) The teacher will discuss Exercise for Fitness Importance of an Active Lifestyle Barriers to an Active Lifestyle Health Related Components Health Related Aerobic Capacity Muscular Strength Muscular Endurance Flexibility Body Composition VIII. Guided Practice ( We Do ) The students will perform the PAR-Q II Health Related Components PRE-TEST BMI – Body Composition Flexibility – Sit and Reach Aerobic Capacity – 3 minute step test Strength - Basic Plank IX. Independent Practice ( You do ) 10-item Quiz Activity 3: Evaluation
