Task 10- Lesson Plan

Instructor- Anthony Marin

Grade- 3rd Grade Math

Lesson: Multiplication

Materials needed- White Board, White Board Markers, Flash Cards

 Learning Standard:

o Understand how to solve problems involving Multiplication

 Learning Target:

o Relate Multiplication to addition. 2x2 is the same as 2+2 and 3x4 is the same as

3+3+3+3.

 Assignment:
o Multiplication worksheets, #2-12. Set a timer for 2 minutes and assess the
students based off body language and walking around the classroom.
o Fraction flash cards, work with partners.
o Repetitions are key.

 Understanding:
o Give them the same multiplication worksheets set a timer for 5 minutes.
o Use this as a quiz and grade the students on right and wrong answers.
o Fraction flash card quiz.
o Go over answers that a majority of students got wrong on the whiteboard.

 Questions for students:

o Do you understand multiplication?
o What do you feel like was the hardest part?
o Did you enjoy multiplication?
o Would you like me to do another example?
o Do you understand the multiplication chart?
