And also with you!
Welcome & Announcements
Preparation for Worship (silently pray the following collect to prepare for worship)
O Lord, absolve Your people from their offenses that from the bonds of our sins, which by reason
of our frailty we have brought upon ourselves, we may be delivered by Your bountiful goodness;
through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one
God, now and forever. Amen.

II. The Lord Cleanses Us from Sin
Brothers and sisters in Christ, the Scriptures teach us that if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves
and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1.9
Kyrie Eleison ~ Lord Have Mercy Psalm 51.1; 123.3; Matthew 17.15; 20.30-31
Confession of Sin
Come, let us worship and bow down. Psalm 95.6
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker! <KNEEL>
Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean, and that we have
sinned against you in thought, word, and deed; not only in outward transgressions, but also in
secret thoughts and desires that we are not able to understand, but which are all known to you. For
this reason, we flee for refuge to your infinite mercy, seeking and imploring your grace, through
our Lord Jesus Christ. <REMAIN KNEELING>
By virtue of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, you are fully and freely forgiven of all
your sins. Believe this and know that you are at peace with God!
Thanks be to God!

V. The LORD Sends Us Back Into the World
Pre-Commission Prayer
Let us continue in prayer together.
Heavenly Father, you have graciously accepted us as living members of your Son, Jesus Christ,
and you have fed us with his body and blood. Send us now into the world in peace, and grant us
strength and courage to love and serve you, with gladness and singleness of heart, until the
whole earth is full of your glory. Amen!
Great Commission Matthew 28.18-20
Jesus declares, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and disciple all the nations
by baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, by teaching them to observe all
that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Amen!
Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered!
Let those who hate Him flee before Him! Psalm 68.1

Proverbs 8.11-22
11 12
for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her. "I, wisdom, dwell with
13
prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion. The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the
14 15
way of evil and perverted speech I hate. I have counsel and sound wisdom; I have insight; I have strength. By me
16 17
kings reign, and rulers decree what is just; by me princes rule, and nobles, all who govern justly. I love those who
18
love me, and those who seek me diligently find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and
19 20
righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, even fine gold, and my yield than choice silver. I walk in the way of
21 22
righteousness, in the paths of justice, granting an inheritance to those who love me, and filling their treasuries.
"The LORD possessed me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old.
Philippians 3.17-21
17 18
Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For
19
many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their
20
end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. But our
21
citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be
like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Matthew 7.13-29
13
"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by
14 15
it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. "Beware of
16
false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by
17
their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but
18 19
the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
20
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their
21
fruits. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of
22
my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and
23
cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never
24
knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does
25
them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds
26
blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears
27
these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain
28
fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it." And
29
when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he was teaching them as one
who had authority, and not as their scribes.
