The writings receive 5 points each. Length of the writings: minimum of 125 words each. The minimum pass mark in the writings is 6 points. Remember to hand in the sheet with your details and the two writings. Make sure that your name is on all the sheets. Task 1: Write a conversation between two people talking about the advantages and disadvantages of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). Use these ideas: a) One of them thinks that life without social media would be better. The other does not agree. b) They discuss how to educate children to use social media safely. c) They agree that people spend too long using social media instead of seeing real people. d) They exchange their views about a world without social media. Task 2: Write an article about the importance of research into space exploration. Include the following: a) Is it worth spending too much money on that? b) Why are people fascinated by space, stars and the universe? c) Is it possible to ensure the health of people travelling to other planets? d) Will space tourism be fashionable in the future?
