If you become aware of a claim against you (e.g. served a writ, counter claim or third party proceedings) or
a potential claim (e.g. DB complaint, discovery of an error/omission/fraud) you are required to:

x notify JLT in writing without any delay otherwise Insurers will not cover your claim if their position
has been prejudiced by such delay;

x allow Insurers to have conduct of the defence in a claim i.e. appoint their own panel solicitor;

x bear the costs in a claim up to the Base Excess amount while Insurers shall bear the balance up till
the Limit of Indemnity;

x give full disclosure and cooperation to Insurers and their panel solicitor (condition precedent);

x not admit liability or negotiate a settlement or compromise without Insurers prior written consent.
