Technology has becoming more efficient, improving fast and used as an easier way to access information

better than the conventional form. In our everyday lives we gather different informatio presented in
various types of media it's either factual or not. As what we have learned from the previous discussion,
media and information are two distinct elements that are intrinsically interconnected with the concept
of communication. This means that media and information anre internally connected that information is
one of the reasons why we communicate and in what way we communicate - and that's where the
media is involved. Today technology has advanced and that affect us in coping with the advancements.
This concludes that we should be more careful with the information we read from the media as the
technology expand in a wider horizon every now and then. That's the reason we should possess literacy
in media and information.

A media and information literate can be able to process information presented in different forms, data
and knowledge, from the source or through various types of media and can handle the information in an
intelligent way. But there also two factors that can influence you to become a media and information
literate individual. One is clarifying what are your goals and what motivates you for seeking the
information. The greater you need, the more efforts you should put on to select what is more important
and reliable. Another is you should acquire skills in appreciating and filtering information from what is
more relevant to less. We should have that skill in evaluating what information we really need, what is
not, and how to apply this information coming form the source which is media. If we have that skills
mentioned above then we are one of the media and information literate individuals.

There are skills we need to become a media and information literate individual but we should also have
this one ability to be more efficient in evaluating the kind of information we access and share - and that's
the ability of critical thinking. It gave biggest relation to media and information literacy in a way that it
helps us to have a capability of weighing something and helps us in judng the information we have
received and the media content. In relation to media literacy, one must think critically on how to use the
media in a more productive and conscious manner and have the knowledge on the various types of
media and what is its impact. And in information literacy, one must think critically on judging what
information is relevant. Because unfornately, there are now too much false informations, memes
spreading fake information and often shared to media and information illiterate people.

Every individual have contributions in different aspects in a community or a country. If I were a media
and literate individual, I can be one of the contributors in our community or country as a whole. Since
technology is continuously changing and some information sources are becoming less reliable, in
personal this includes in interviewing one's personal life, relationships, and to be an effective media
friend. In a way of professionalism, this is what we do in public sites in media. Interaction is a must in a
media because in that way we can help each other through screen and fulfill oher's needs, answer their
questions or querries and socialize with them. In personal we can contribute by introducing things to our
limited audiences unlikely to public, we share information, ideas or knowledge about something that
everyone will caught attention and this define us based on what we input in public, professionally.

In a way of media and information literacy as expression of freedom of speech/expression, what I can
contribute to our community or country is I can contribute my opinions, ideas, knowldge and
information as a way of expressing myself because each of us have the right and desire to express what
is in our mind and hearts that need explanations and process. This will help our society to be more
united and open to whatever circumstances shared in media. This kind of freedom of speech/pression is
able to relate the process of communication we need to be expressed and feel the freedom to
contribute some information to others. Media and Information Literacy is a expression of freedom
speech/expression empowers us, citizens, to share our knowledge, skills and attitudes on traditional and
new version of media that the technology gave us and what we usually used in our daily lives. This will
promote free and independent media and information systems.

Media and Information Literacy as a tool for civic responsiblity and nation-building. Today, almost all the
people in our country are exposed to technology specifically on media and thus, information is
publicized. Our nation uses media to give information, eye-catching headlines about the situation of our
country and more by sharing in the media the nation's developments and progress - nation building. And
as one of these people being exposed to media, a media and infromation literate, as one of these
nation's citizens, I can contribute my role and civic responsibility by taking part on whatever means of
helping our nation to build in a progressive and effective way. And as a media and literate student I can
be of a contributor by promoting and preserving our culture through the use of media - social media. By
being updated to our local and national news and current events and by sharing the information to our
community, first to our neighbors but of course, spread the factual information related to our nation.
Second is through social media and news sites. This may help educate our community it's either in a little
or big way. We always remember that the things we do is not only for or own sake of good but for the
