Course Objective:
• To provide the knowledge & skill on Instrumentation.
• To provide the knowledge & skill on Control system.

SHORT DESCRIPTION

Understand the instrumentation, control system, measuring procedure of pressure , the


temperature measuring system, the procedure of level measurement, the flow measuring
instrument, the measuring instrument, the control theory, transmitter and control action devices,
the control unit and control system, the centralized control, machine of control and bridge control,
the density control, viscosity control, chemical and mechanical properties control, the propeller
speed control, frequency control, ultra violet ray control and exhaust gas
control.

Class test Dates:

There are 4 class tests and 10 Quiz test in a term. Class test dates will be provided in the class.

Midterm One 75-minute midterm Final 3-hour duration

Homework Homework problems will be assigned on regular basis, typically, at the end of a topic.

Quizzes There will be at least one quiz every other week.

Attendance Policy Students missing more than 20% of the lectures will receive an “F” grade in the course.

Mark Distribution  Homework and Quizzes, Class test ,Midterms : 50 mark


 Final: 80 mark

Grading Policy:
According to the BTEB guidelines
Special Instructions:

 Students are expected to attend all classes, labs and examinations.

 Students will not be allowed to enter into the classroom after 15 minutes of the starting time.

 There will be NO makeup examinations. In case of emergency, you MUST either inform me or
the department

 If you are sick you should inform me within 24 hours and provide medical certificate the next
class you attend. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify you from giving makeup exams.

 5. There is zero tolerance for cheating at ICT. Students caught with cheat sheets in their
possession, whether used or not used, and/or copying from cheat sheets, writing on the palm of
hand, back of calculators, chairs or nearby walls etc. would be treated as cheating in the exam hall.
The only penalty for cheating is expulsion from ICT.

 Cheating is not only unethical, it is also against the BTEB rules and will not be tolerated
