Speech class TI 18A1

Important of Education
Assalamu’alaikumWr. Wb..

Good Morning Everyone I would like to begin with a story. LaskarPelangi, is film based on the
true stories . It tells the story of the childhood of village children from a very poor Malay
community. It is the paramilitary army of the rainbow about the fighting spirit flared up by the
children of the Belitong village to change their destiny through school. Most of their parents
prefer to see their children work to help parents in the fields, or work as unskilled laborers in
Timah District Court, rather than schools. Although the early 90's the Muhamaddiyah school was
finally closed because it was totally unable to finance itself. But the enthusiasm, integrity,
fullness of mind, and perseverance taught by Mr. Harfan and Mrs.Muslimah remained alive in
the hearts. Finally the two teachers are proud because of the eleven members of LaskarPelangi
now become success. There are those who become research and development managers in
multi-national companies, got international scholarships and graduated from a leading university
in England. From the scene it reminds us that education is important. Education is the process of
facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. It prepare
students to succeed in their majors and in their personal and professional lives after graduation.
Education often occurs under the guidance of educators and also students can educate
themselves. Education can occur in a formal or informal environment and any experience that
has a formative effect on the way a person thinks, feels, or acts can be considered educational.
In this occasion I would like to deliver speech about thet the importance of education
Education is important because it can develop soft skill. The first is Socialization.
Socialization is a very important process in the formation of personality. Socialization occurs
when someone interacts with other people. Socialization allows all individuals in a community to
develop values, norms, and beliefs that are very similar (O'Neil, 2009). Socialization is a lifelong
process, although the initial stages of socialization are very important (Shepard, 2009, p.
90).Another part of the socialization process is cognitive development. Cognitive development
refers to the development of thinking, knowing, understanding, judging, and reasoning. Students
develop this ability through things that happen around them. The second is change the mindset.
Education is the best solution to form a superior mindset. According to Carol Dweck, people
who are able to develop a successful mindset, they will not worry about how smart they are and
how they make mistakes because they will always challenge themselves to continue to grow.
Taking valuable lessons from an experience of failure and trying to minimize errors next time A
person will try to improve their education to a higher level, not because a diploma or pride holds
a series of academic degrees, but because of the awareness to continue to improve self-
competence. According to Angie Zimmerman, by knowing that every failure will bring someone
to a brighter point, success will gradually approach someone The last is change the attitude.
Attitude is an internal symptom that has an effective dimension in the form of a tendency to react
or respond in a relatively fixed way to the objects of people, goods, etc., both positively and
negatively. According to Samudera Fadlilla Jamaluddin, a psychologist, education greatly
influences a person in terms of attitude. The thing to remember from the learning process in
taking education is, besides we get the knowledge, our brain will indirectly be stimulated from
the learning process. When the learning process takes place it shows change when we are
learning a new thing. Through this learning process in education, our cognitive abilities are
increased and we have a knowledge that can be used as a basis for making a decision in attitude.

Education is not only developing soft skill but also hard skill. Hard skills are part of the skill set
that is required for a job. They include the expertise necessary for an individual to successfully
do the job. They are job-specific and are typically listed in job postings and job descriptions.
Hard skills are acquired through formal education and training programs, including college,
apprenticeships, short-term training classes, online courses, certification programs, as well as by
on-the-job training. Hard skills include the specific knowledge and abilities required for success
in a job. Examples of hard skills include computer programming, web design, typing,
accounting, finance, writing, mathematics, legal and other quantifiable skills that are included in
the requirements for a job. These types of skills are learned and can be defined, evaluated and
measured. They are most commonly used during the hiring and interview process to compare
candidates for employment. In some industries, employers may even test candidates’ hard skills,
to make sure that they can really do what their resume claims they can do. Everyone at least have
one hard skill that they are mastering. For example every teacher must at least master one subject
to make them qualified to teach the student about the subject

Last but not least, education is very important to make a successful person. Through
education we learn and develop personality, mental skills, moral and physical strength.
Education is the only key that works in personal and professional life. We learn to be good
people, learn to live in homes, communities, communities and friendships. Attending school and
receiving education is very important for everyone and is needed for those who want to achieve
success. For example, Mr.Habibie who can take higher education abroad with all the
achievements and scholarships he gets can make it the first plane for the country of Indonesia.
Mr. Habibie said, "My past is mine, your past is yours. So wanting to succeed in the future we
must prepare from now and education not only allows us to learn about history, science,
mathematics, geography but also make us smart enough to learn how to save lives and how to
improve them.

In short, education is important because of some reasons. Nelson Mandela quote “

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to chnage the world”. Thank you.
Wassalamualaikum wr.wb
