CODEX: RELICTORS

The following rules are my ideas on updating the rules for the Relictors Chapter from 3rd edition (including both the rules from the
Index Astartes article and the Chapter Approved article) into a format consistent with how I speculate that the anticipated redux of
Codex: Space Marines will look. Most of the changes to the baseline rules are based upon the trends seen in the update to the Blood
Angels rules that appeared in White Dwarf magazine and available for download from Games Workshop’s site at:

Other changes were based upon the changes seen in the latest Codex: Chaos Space Marines, primarily with the removal of many
daemon weapons that the Relictors used to be able to take and the changes to the icons.
I basically took the rules that we developed for Decario in the Traits/Chapters of Legend Project and copied them herein. I
considered giving him a daemon weapon or one of the named artefacts, but decided to keep him as he is currently presented to give
Relictors players a special character that was a bit different.

It’s important to note that I haven’t modified these rules to reflect the potential fate of the Chapter following the events described in
the story Extremis Diabolus. These rules are intended to represent the Chapter at the height of its heresy, and should also suitably
represent them during the Third War for Armageddon and the Thirteenth Black Crusade of Abaddon the Despoiler. Rules for the
Chapter following the attack by the Grey Knights and the Inquisitor would likely incorporate severe limitations such as are found in
the Aspire to Glory major drawback and the Faithful Unto Death minor drawback (see the Chapter Traits rules in Codex: Space
Marines). Suffice to say that these rules do not incorporate any such limitations.

RELICTORS SPECIAL RULES


The models in the Relictors army use a number of special COMBAT SQUADS
rules that are common to more than one unit, as specified in A number of ten-man units in the Space Marines army have

RELICTORS ARMY LIST
This section of Codex: Space Marines lists the weapons and equipment used by the Space Marines, along with the
details for using them in your games of Warhammer 40,000. Weapons and equipment that may be used by more than
one type of model or unit are detailed here, while equipment that is unique to a single model or unit is detailed in the
appropriate entry in the Forces section. For example, bolters are ubiquitous and carried by many models, and they are
therefore detailed in this section. The Sniper Rifle, however, is unique to Scout squads, and is therefore detailed in the
Scout squads entry.

DAEMON WEAPONS
A symbol of greatness as much as a weapon of war, the powers of a Daemon Weapon vary with the nature of the god who gifted
it. A Chaos Lord has a Daemon Weapon appropriate to their patron god.
A Daemon Weapon may take the form of a wicked scimitar, great broadsword, or simply an axe or mace. :

Requires two hands to use.
