Assessment
Students will be evaluated through written and oral exams at the end of each unit, and at least once a month. Audio
recording and/or written records will be used as tool for assessment. Feedback will be provided after each instance.
General objectives and skills to be developed in each unit will function as assessment criteria.

DELIVERABLES: For the Student: June & December: Yearly progress report and new level with level exam result.
Updated level profile and feedback on yearly performance. (sample)

FORMAL EXAMS: Unit checks


Final exam to validate new level (December) PARTS OF THE EXAM MAY BE TAKEN OUTSIDE
AGREED CLASS HOURS.

Material
Text book to be shared in PDF, students should arrange for printing or ordering books.
Optional material will be shared in Drive

Homework
Students may be required to complete specific short assignments at home, this cannot be considered compulsory and
if necessary 10min at the beginning of the class may be used for revision instead.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES
All students are expected to improve their skills to

 Speak fluently and confidently


 Organize and structure information
 Convey ideas and information accurately enough to avoid ambiguity or stress for the listener
 Apply compensatory strategies to follow main points during telephone conversations, meetings (face-to-face/
on-line) or social interactions.
 Apply discursive strategies to clarify and check unclear information
 Provide suitable reactions to the utterances of others
 Use intelligible pronunciation and use online resources to monitor accuracy of their production.
 Use suitable language and behavior according to the situation and cultural expectations of clients and
coworkers from different countries.

Cancellations & bank-holidays

 Cancellations, both by students or teaching staff, should be informed at least 12 hs before the class.
 Classes can be re-scheduled if required in advanced.
 National holidays are NOT re-scheduled
 In the case of teacher’s absences a substitute will be provided if possible.

PAYMENT:

 Between 1 and 15 of each month students will receive the official invoice for the course fees. These should
be sent to the company for them to deposit the amount covered by them. (March 2017: AR$800)

 Drop outs should be informed between 1 and 5 each month; otherwise full monthly fees will apply.
 If fees exceed company English Training perk, student’s teacher will receive further charge.
 If company payment fails students are expected to deposit the amount of course fees in IT bank account.
 Payments 60 days overdue will charged 5% interests.
