Germany with a global reach. We promote knowledge of the German
language abroad and foster international cultural cooperation. In addition,
we convey a comprehensive picture of Germany by providing information on
Germany’s cultural, social and political life.

The Goethe-Institut Indonesia is seeking to recruit a freelance project


assistant for the 2019 edition of the project “Science Film Festival”.

The Science Film Festival is a celebration of science communication. In


cooperation with schools and other partners it promotes science literacy and
facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and
environmental issues through film and television content with accompanying
educational activities. In 2018 the Science Film Festival travelled to 42 cities
in Indonesia.

The duties of the project assistant mainly include the following tasks:

- Supporting the project coordinator in the correspondence and


coordination with all project partners incl. local juries and venue
partners
- Supporting the project coordinator in the film selection and overseeing
the dubbing of the selected films
- Coordinating the volunteers in different teams during the festival
preparation and execution incl. scheduling and travel organization
- Supporting the project coordinator in obtaining all needed official
documents and administration tasks
- Supporting the project coordinator regarding matters of PR, print
products and reporting
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who meets the
following requirements:

- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, knowledge of English in speech and writing,


German is an asset
- Relevant work experience
- Autonomy, willingness to learn and self-initiative
- Pronounced ability to work in a team
- Time flexibility and willingness to travel
