HOW TO APPLY IN

AFP POLICE CHECK

FOR NURSES ONLINE

It has been popular to nurses that study pathway is best option to land a job in Australia. One of
the tons of requirements in applying in University or College schools is to have AFP police check
online. Some of you may find this hurdle since there are unfamiliar categories to choose from but
trust me, this is so easy. I divide the steps in to 9 sections so it will be a piece of cake for you to
follow the process.

1. NEW APPLICATION

To start with, you can go to this website

https://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/services/criminal-records/national-police-checks

Scroll down and find the APPLICATION PORTAL and click ACCESS ONLINE APPLICATION.
Once you have click the online application it will direct you to NATIONAL POLICE CHECK (NPC)
ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. Please refer to the image below.
Scroll down and click the I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE and
click START NEW ONLINE APPLICATION then this will direct you to PROOF OF IDENTITY.

2. PROOF OF IDENTITY

In this section, you need to select your proof of identity to gather 100 points. In my case, I chose
Passport (70 points), Birth certificate extract (25 points) and credit card or account card (25 points).
Before doing this so, YOU NEED TO SCAN your chosen proof of identity first in JPG or PDF file
before proceeding to avoid such delays.

Just click the small circle beside the choices and click the box below stating I HAVE SCANNED
THE IDENTITY DOCUMENTS SPECIFIED ABOVE then click NEXT

3. APPLICANT DETAILS

3.1Type down your details including ACTIVE e-mail address.

3.2 Choose COMMONWEALTH EMPLOYMENT/PURPOSE in purpose type section
3.3 click #37 in PURPOSE OF CHECK
3.4 click next

 4. APPLICANT CONSENT

4.1 click the YELLOW BOX to download the application

4.2 print the CONSENT FORM
4.3 sign the consent and write the date
4.4 scan the consent in the following format JPG or PDF
4.5 upload the file
4.6 click the box below
4.7 click next

 5. UPLOAD YOUR INDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS

5.1 upload the documents according to its order stated above. In my case I have birth
certificate, account card and passport.
5.2 Click upload file. MAKE SURE it is in PDF or JPG file.
5.3 Click the box below
5.4 Click next

 6. APPLICANT DETAILS

6.1 recheck you written details before adding other personal details
6.2 type your country birth and contact number WITHOUT USING “+” sign
6.3 leave the Australian driver’s license no. and issuing date blank
6.4 click the question below before clicking next
6.5 Head to the question if you are currently residing in Australia. In my case I click “NO”
6.6 Type down your address WITHOUT USING “#” sign
6.7 In my mailing address, I click the same current residential address.
6.8 Click next

7. CONFIRM DETAILS
By confirming the details, recheck all the details that are shown in your screen. Make sure
all details are correct. Once you proceed to payment you will no longer access and edit your
profile. There question below so that you can be reminded. Once you click them, click next.

 8. PAYMENT

8.1 Before proceeding to next page, read the instructions first. This is very important.
8.2 Click the box below once you have read the instructions.
8.3 Click next.
8.4 Type down your credit number, date of expiration and CVC code. This will cost 42$
8.5 Click PAY NOW
8.6 In less than 5 minutes, the website will generate the payment. Just hold on and you’ll
get there. PLEASE DON’T REFRESH
8.7 Confirm the payment

 9. RECEIVE THE REFERENCE NUMBER

CONGRATULATIONS! You reach the final step. Aside from receiving your reference
number you will also receive the payment receipt in your e-mail.
