1.1 History

1) TC-NEM AZ03A delivery MR1 Ed1.2

In order to benefit from FR correction:

- 3BKA37FBR287660 [MR1] [TCIF] At Restore TCIF Configuration action not all
error cases are handeled.
TC-NEM AZ03A must be used with TCIF AZ03C

2) TC-NEM-AZ06C delivery MR1 Ed2.

It is compatible ONLY with TCIF AZ06CP1 for B11 MR1 Ed2 or higher.
TC-NEM AZ06C or higher is compatible only with MT120 software from MR1 ED2 due to
the next FR correction:
- 3BKA37FBR288403 11-TLO-FR] TDM : "no error" alarm displayed at TC-NEM

3) TC-NEM AZ06D delivery MR1 Ed2

In order to benefit from FR correction:

- 3BKA20FBR286374 G2 MT120 legacy is misaligned in TC_NEM via IP after replace

board.

TC-NEM AZ06D must be used with MT12AZ06B. Correction for this FR is done at both
sides TC-NEM and MT120 thus results the restricton for this compatibility issue

WORKAROUNDS
If a download SW procedure fails from some reason please terminate the ftpserv.exe
process, if it exists, before attempting a new download operation.
Also for a download SW to work, Windows firewall should allow a FTP server to run on the
machine and the port 21 should not be used by other application.

Note*: Username and Password has to be the same as defined in the file
/root/.snmp/TcSnmpAgent.conf from the TCIF.

First Time Installation

To install the TC NEM software on Windows XP / VISTA:

1. Copy the TC NEM software from the installation CD-ROM to your hard disk.
2. Double-click on TC-NEM-AZ[yyy].zip to extract the TC NEM Software, where yyy is the
version number.
3. Double-click on setup application (setup.msi).
’TC-NEM’ setup window opens.
4. Some additional software should be already installed:
.NET Framework 2.0
Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8
Windows Installer 3.1
If not already installed, then in the ’TC-NEM Setup’ window a question
asking for installation confirmation apperars.
Click on [ Accept ].

 5. If one of the three mentioned applications were installed, then the PC
must be rebooted.

In the ’TC-NEM Setup’ window click on [ Yes ] to confirm rebooting.

After rebooting is complete, the ’TC-NEM’ setup wizard opens.

6. Follow the installation wizard instructions:

- Welcome to the TC-NEM Setup Wizard
Click on [ Next ]
- Select Installation Folder
Select the folder and the user, or better leave the default Folder and Everyone.
Click on [ Next ]
- Confirm Installation Click on [ Next ]
- Installation Complete Click on [ Close ]
At this step, the TC-NEM software installation is complete.

Repair

To repair an existing TC NEM software, on Windows XP / VISTA, in case that TC-NEM was
previously installed:

1. Stop the existing TC NEM application, if it is the case (if it is running).

2. Copy the existing TC NEM software package from the installation CD-ROM to your hard
disk, if it is not already present.
3. Double-click on TC-NEM-AX[yyy].zip to extract the TC NEM Software, where yyy is the
existing version number, if it is not already done.
4. Double-click on setup application (setup.exe).
A dialog box appears, asking you if you want to repair or remove the existing TC NEM
software version.
5. Select ’Repair TC-NEM’ and click on [ Finish ].
This will reinstall or repair the existing TC NEM software.

Remove

To remove an existing TC NEM software on Windows XP /VISTA in case that TC-NEM was
previously installed, there are two methods:

A. Using Windows XP facilities:

1. Stop the existing TC NEM application, if it is the case (if it is running).

2. Remove the existing TC NEM version using the Windows facility Add/Remove Programs.

B. Using the TC NEM facilities

1. Stop the existing TC NEM application, if it is the case (if it is running).

2. Copy the existing TC NEM software package from the installation CD-ROM to your hard
disk, if it is not already present.
3. Double-click on TC-NEM-AZ[yyy].zip to extract the TC NEM Software, where yyy is the
existing version number, if it is not already done.
4. Double-click on setup application (setup.exe).
A dialog box appears, asking you if you want to repair or remove the existing TC NEM
software version.

Update

To update an existing (previously installed) TC NEM software to a newer TC NEM software

version, on Windows XP:

1. Stop the existing TC NEM application, if it is the case (if it is running).

2. Copy the newer (the last) TC NEM software package from the installation CD-ROM to
your hard disk.
3. Double-click on TC-NEM-AX[yyy].zip to extract the newer TC NEM Software, where yyy
is the newer version number (greater/newer than the existing version).
4. Double-click on newer setup application (setup.exe). The ’TC-NEM’ Setup Wizard opens.
5. Follow the installation wizard instructions:

- Welcome to the TC-NEM Setup Wizard
Click on [ Next ]
- Select Installation Folder
Select the folder and the user, or better leave the default Folder and Everyone.
Click on [ Next ]
