Control Systems Support Engineer

Supporting the Automation & Technology Development Team, you will be responsible for supporting all
control systems and equipment within the engineering department as well as participating in the development of
HPA automation requirements across all of its terminals. Duties also include but are not limited to:

 Responsible for the support of Automated Equipment O&M budget and capital expenditure as required
 Assistance with maintenance and improvement of facility and equipment
 Support leadership in the development of collaborative culture across the HPA engineering and maintenance
team
 Identifying, evaluating and developing automation requirements in conjunction with the project technology
team from Hong Kong as well as providing input on the automation aspect for HPA projects
 Assist with the terminals’ automation and technology layout and design
 Assist as required in the assessment of systems designed and installed by equipment suppliers

The successful candidate will have:

 Degree in mechatronics, alternatively degree in control systems, process control, electrical engineering or
related discipline
 Minimum 1-2 years heavy industry experience
 PLC and HMI programming skills

· Sound understanding of electrical and instrumentation circuits and proven fault finding ability

 Basic understanding of variable speed drives.

 Good understanding of industrial control networks.
 Strong verbal and written communication skills
 High level of safety awareness, compliance, leadership and commitment to safety practices
 Hold and maintain current driver’s license
 Must have ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines

It would be desirable if the candidate has:

 Experience in fully automated and or high speed production environment

 Labour and contractor management experience including IR
 Strong customer service skills
