These are the some of the possible questions normally asked by any examiner.

I have attended my final project viva on 19th November 2013.

I am posting some questions which evaluator asked :
My project was on School management
1) What is your project and have you made this project on you own ?
Ans: I said yes but he is not ready to believe this (Evaluator just wanted to check if I have
purchased the project from somewhere).
2) Which technology have you used ?
Ans: servlet and jsp
3) Why have you used these technologies, why not framework like struts , why not swing
(which is easy).
4) What is cocomo model ?
Ans : when I was answering Evaluator interrupted and asked the equation of COCOMO model
of which I was not aware.
5) What is spiral model ?
6) Then he asked about the working status and asked "how much time have you given to your
project"
7) what do you want to do in future ?
8) what is finalize() ,finally, final ?
9) Does java supports multiple inheritance ?
10) How multiple inheritance can support (what can be done) ?
11) What have you learnt by making this project ?
12) Evaluator again said "These technologies (servlet and jsp)" are not in use by developer
instead you should have learnt framework.
I politely answered : Sir, If we do not know these technologies we cannot learn advance
technologies, these are basics.

I'd learned quite good things that I want to mention.

1. Always prepare project yourself. Do not copy anything from anywhere. Write each and
everything straight out of your head. If you don't know about any concept just first learn that
particular thing and after that include it in your project.
2. Project Viva is not just about the evaluation of your Final year project. It's all about the
evaluation of whole MCA Programme. so once the theory exams completed just do not forget
everything at least till final year Viva.
and last but not the least
3. For those who think they can buy a project and easily able to accommodate good marks.
It's better not to enroll in this particular program.

Now I'd like to mentioned some question that was asked during Viva.
1. Asked about all the entities and attributes without looking at ER diagram.
2. Problems in database that he pointed out and after that asked about all the keys that I've
mentioned.
3. Some questions on HTML/CSS and class and id used in CSS.
4. What is UTF-8 in <meta charset="UTF-8"> in Head Tag
5. Why CSS is required?
6. Why we've to use session in web based project?
7. What is cardinality?
8. Last he asked me to write a code in PHP that will accept the data through a form and store
in MySQL table.
It's almost around 12-13 question within 25 minutes but I don't remember the rest.

He asked me following questions:

1) What language and platform u hv chosen for it?
2) Why did u select them for ur application?
3) What is MFC?
4) What is the SDI and MDI? Give examples.
5) What is the DLL?
6) Diff between DLL and EXE?
7) My project was generating one report, So he asked me d logic behind how I am generating
the report?
8) Then he asked me to open the source code. Show me where is the main function.
( in my application's source code, we dont find the definition of winmain anywhere)
9) He asked me 2 add some events, windows msg handler. (May be he was checking whether
I did it myslef or not.)
10) What is resource in ur application? Show how will u add another resources.
11) He askd me whether my application will run on any system or not? What is the
requirement 2 run it on any system?
12) Then he started looking at the project report. He started finding out the mistakes from it,
but I gave him proper explanation for his every comment.
