Bhaktivedanta VedaBase before you install this latest version.
b) If you have been using shadow files and want to preserve them
along with your old VedaBase NFO files it is advised you move these
files to another location on your hard drive. For example you might
want to create a directory called ‘VedaBase files Old’ and move these
files there.
c) To perform items a) or b) or both press cancel and start this
installation again.

Installation Window 6 shows,

Here you have three choices:

a) Complete. This option installs everything you need while having
510Mb of space available on your hard drive.
(If not sure the next window will tell you if you have the space available
or not.)
We recommend that you use this option for several reasons;
1) You will not be dependent on your CD while operating the
VedaBase.
2) The CD may get scratched and become unusable over time.
3) The performance from the CD is quite a bit slower, searches
will take longer.
b) Minimum. This option applies to you if you don’t have the required
510Mb available on your hard drive, see next window.
c) Custom. This feature gives you the choice of installing:
1) All Folio Program Files
2) VedaBase Master Files (data files)
3) Winamp media player
d) After having made your choice go ahead and click next

Installation Window 7 shows,

a) Here you are given the choice to change the directory location.
Normally you would leave this as it is.
b) This window also shows the space required for the opted installation
and the space you have available on your hard drive.
c) Click next

Installation Window 8 shows,

Here a shortcut icon will be created on your desktop. You have the
choice to change the icon’s name. Otherwise click next.

Installation Window 9 shows,

This is the last window telling you to go ahead with the installation.

Congratulations!

After the installation is complete you will be asked to restart your

computer.

PS. A window will appear displaying the fonts of your

Operating System. This is normal. This occurs to make sure
that the newly installed fonts for the VedaBase are properly
recognized by the system. This is a bug. Go ahead and close it.

After restarting click on the new Bhaktivedanta VedaBase desktop icon

or go to the startup menu and chose Bhaktivedanta VedaBase 2003,
click on Bhaktivedanta VedaBase 2003
