Used to create simple multimedia presentation about the topic of your choice
TIPS:
1. Plan content of your presentation
-prepare a story board to establish general content and design
2. Font size should be visible enough
3. Use less transition
4. Text should be up to 7 words / line and 7 lines / slide
5. Give presentation a consistent look
6. Special effects should be used moderately
HOW TO START:
1. Open computer
programs
microsoft power point
2. Click blank presentation
ok
3. Choose title slide
ok
4. Click inside the click to add title text box
type title of presentation
5. Click inside the click to add sub title text box and type your name.
6. Click after the last letter of the text in the outline pane
start creating your outline
press enter
7. To create a new slide
click insert
new slide
FORMATTING SLIDES
1. After the text has been added in the outline pane, you may format the font
style, color, and size.
2. Select the text you wish to format, use the formatting toolbar to change font or
from the format menu select font.
3. To apply a background theme, from the format menu, select apply
design template.
4. Click on a design and it will appear in the preview window
5. Once you have selected a design, click apply, the design will appear
on all slides.
6. To change the color scheme of a design, from the format menu, select
slide color scheme, click custom tab.
7. Choose the color scheme you want to change.
8. Click change color
9. Click the standard tab for standard colors or the custom tab to create
your own color
10. Select a color and click ok
11. Click apply to all or apply if you want only the current slide to be
Affected
SAVING PRESENTATION:
1. From file menu, click save
2. In the save bar, locate program folder and click
3. Name your file
4. Click save
ENHANCING PRESENTATION:
1. Slide transition
Choose slide transition. Click drop down arrow next to no transition, scroll to
select your choice. If you want to add sound effects, click the dropdown arrow of
sound and select your choice.
2. Custom animation
Go to slide you want to animate. From slide show menu, click on custom
animation.
3. Record narration
From slide show menu, select record narration
4. Speaker notes
Click in the notes pane and type your notes in the click to add notes box for the
current slide.
5. Rehearse timings
From slide show menu, click rehearse timings. Click next arrow to go to next
slide. You can view the timings for each slide in the slide sorter view.
6. Slide sorter
To rearrange order of slides, from view menu, select slide sorter, just click and
drag a slide to where you want it to go.
TIPS:
Too many sounds and images can defract from the purpose of the presentation.
