BPME2023 GROUP ASSIGNMENT (30 MARKS)

TITLE: “Innovative Product which can Move – Let’s Move It!”

1. Product Creation (15 marks)

Use your creativity to CREATE NEW & INNOVATIVE PRODUCT which related to “Innovative
Product That Can Move – Let’s Move It!” theme.

Students need to create products which can move using either MOTOR, BATTERY, WHEELS OR
COMBINATION OF THOSE OR OTHER TOOLS which can help to make the product move. The
product must be SAFE & USEFUL to the customer and can be COMMERCIALIZED. Students also
need to APPLY FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY FROM INNOVATION &
COMMERCIALIZATION CENTER (ICC) UUM.

Your idea must come from your OWN CREATIVITY & AVOID IMITATING OTHERS WORKS!

You are encouraging to prepare the products at least in 2 sets or more as it will be tested by a reviewers
and will be having potential to be sold.

2. Report writing (15 marks)

 Acknowledgement
 Introduction – Innovation in Malaysia.
 Product name and descriptions
 Resources used
 The creation process
 Target market
 Distribution strategy
 Promotion strategy
 Pricing strategy
 What makes your product unique?
 IP application process
 Conclusion
 Appendices – pictures, IP application documents etc

***All teams must apply any categories of Intellectual Property Law Coverage from the
ICC, UUM. A copy of application form forwarded to the ICC must be attached in the
report as appendix.
3. Format

• Font Times New Roman 12

• 1.5 spacing
• Minimum 20 pages (including appendixes & references)

4. Exhibition (15 marks)

 Present and promote your product during CREATIVITY & INNOVATION
EXHIBITION.
 Participation is a must for all group members. (deduct 1 mark for each absenteeism)
