This document provides lab requirements for configuring basic settings and interfaces on three routers in a topology using Packet Tracer. The requirements include configuring host names, passwords, usernames, interface IPs and descriptions, bandwidth, and other security settings like disabling domain lookup and logging messages. The tasks also involve testing telnet connectivity between the routers and saving the running configurations.

2- Configure basic configuration on each router as follows: a. Host names as per the topology b. Message of the day to warn against unauthorized access to the router c. Set unencrypted password for enable mode to be “cisco” d. Set encrypted password for enable mode to be “ciscosecure” e. Set username “Admin” with a password “CiscoAdmin” f. Secure the telnet access by requiring a username and password. g. Secure console login using password “ciscoconsole” h. Encrypt all passwords on the router with Cisco encryption. 3- Configure routers interfaces as follows: a. Configure all serial interfaces with the following: i. Clock rate on DCE side with 2000000. ii. IPs as per topology. iii. Description on all interfaces describing to whom this interface is connected. iv. Set bandwidth on all interfaces to 2Mbps v. Unshut all interfaces b. Configure all Gigabitethernet interfaces as follows: i. IPs as topology ii. Description on all interfaces describing to whom this interface is connected. iii. Set bandwidth on all interfaces to 1Gbps. iv. Set duplex and speed to be auto. v. Unshut all interfaces 4- Disable domain lookup if the routers didn’t recognize the written command. 5- Disable logging messages to interrupt the configuration on the console port. 6- Set the console port to logout from the router configuration after 5 min from inactivity. 7- Ensure that you can telnet between the 3 routers. 8- Save all the running configuration.
