Discuss among the cell, in what capacity you can commit to join the corporate
prayer meetings (Monday to Friday at 5am to 7am), and the corporate fast day
(Wednesday 6am to Thursday 6am).

Luke 5:33-39 33 Then they said to Him, “Why do the disciples of John fast
often and make prayers, and likewise those of the Pharisees, but Yours eat
and drink?”34 And He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the
bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? 35 But the days will
come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them; then they will fast
in those days.” (NKJV)

Luke 4:14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news
of Him went out through all the surrounding region. (NKJV)

1 John 5:7-7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the
Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that
bear witness on earth the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three
agree as one. (NKJV)

Luke 10:15-18 15 And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be
brought down to Hades. 16 He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you

What are two things that always precede a revival?

Every modern day revival has come about because someone or a group has prayed and
moved the hand of God to revival. God never does anything as major as a revival
without someone fasting and praying, hard for it. God respects our severity and free
will. He won’t do anything without someone asking for it. In the Bible we see that Anna,
fasted and prayed for over 84 years for the coming Messiah to come and then He came
in the flesh.

Prayer is reaching out after the unseen; fasting is letting go of all that is seen and
temporal. Fasting helps express, deepen, confirm the resolution that we are ready
to sacrifice anything, even ourselves to attain what we seek for the kingdom of

What are three types of prayer that will cause a revival to take place?

1. The prayer of agreement: This talks about unity and agreement. Many Christians no
longer believe God’s word, but God says, where 2 or more shall agree as touching
anything on this earth it shall surely come to pass.

2. Declaration: Capernaum was wicked because of the evil heart of unbelief. Satan is
exalted over a city or nation because of the wicked heart of unbelief. When Jesus spoke
to Capernaum, he was not addressing natural dynamics, He made a declaration into the
atmosphere. He addressed the principalities and powers. This causes His disciples to
have great success in the region, as when they returned they declared “Even the
demons are subject to us in Your Name”.

3. Intercession: Entugchanó (Greek): Means to earnestly beg or talk to God, to light

upon, to hit upon, particularly an enemy, to plead with a person. Intercession in Hebrew
is the word Paga. Which refers to doing battle for ones inheritance. The extent of Paga,
will determine the extent of the boundary and control that you exercise in the realm of
the spirit.
