The RUAEA website is available to
anyone seeking information about
RUAEA (www.ruaea.org). It features
monthly newsletters with archived
editions back to Aug. 2003 that are
available to members. In addition, the
website offers links to many other sites of
interest to retirees, namely ... ALPA, FAA,
AFA, Clipped Wings, Aetna, CVS/Caremark,
Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Web MD,
AARP, PBGC, RUPA & UA Benefits Centers,
Alliant Credit Union, UAHF and UA Retiree
Benefits Website. There are additional links
concerning travel.
RUAEA Conventions
The first national Convention was held in San
Francisco in May 1976. In subsequent years
conventions have been held in various
locations.
Attendees at our Conventions have the
opportunity to attend the RUAEA Business
Meeting and the Retirees’ Benefit Panel with
presentations from various benefit providers.
Members with individual issues may speak
with representatives after the meeting. Other
activities include a raffle, daily tours, a
Banquet on the final night. Check our
website or Newsletter for place and dates of
future conventions.
RUAEA & Local Chapters
Local chapters are found throughout the U.S.
The chapters function separately from the
national RUAEA organization. A nominal fee
may apply to join a local chapter;
membership at the national level does not
entitle membership at the local level. These
groups provide a friendly social atmosphere
at gatherings which usually take place
monthly. Local contacts can be found at

5022. RUAEA has regional directors to assist
the local chapters. The regions with the
associated states are:
Northeast: ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY,

Florida: FL, AL, AR, MS, LA
Midwest: OH, KY, IN, IL, MI, MN, WI, IA,

What is RUAEA?
Retired United Airlines
Employees Association
is made up of former
employees of United
Airlines, Continental
Airlines, their
subsidiaries and others. It was organized
to maintain friendships between former co-
workers and to develop new friendships
among retirees. The primary activity of the
organization is the publication of a monthly
Newsletter. The organization also holds
conventions periodically.
RUAEA is now a 501 (C) (3)
organization which means any
contributions are tax deductible.

All former and current employees of
United Airlines, Continental Airlines,
their subsidiaries and others are
eligible to become members of
RUAEA. Spouses of retirees may
become a regular member. All may
do so by completing an application
and paying the required dues.
Widows and widowers of retirees may
also become members.

Domestic Members $30.00
Canada/Mexico Mbrs. $47.00
Foreign Members $52.00
Additional $5.00 per year for both
paper and Web deliveries.
Canadian/Mexican and foreign
members may get web only at the
domestic rate.
