A Detailed Lesson Plan

In Physical Education - 10
Demonstration Teaching

I. Objectives:
At the end of 60-minute discussion in Physical Education the students should be able to:
a. Define the meaning of Zumba;
b. Learn and execute a Zumba properly; and
c. Enhance the physical fitness through a Zumba.

II. Subject Matter:


A. Topic: Fitness – Zumba
B. Reference: internet sources, student hand-out, MAPEH 10 by L.A. Vergara
C. Materials: laptop, speaker and powerpoint presentation
D. Values Infusion: cooperation and health awareness

1. Customary Greeting

let’s have a prayer.

2. Checking of Attendance

B. Motivation

Before we go on to our topic for


today, let’s have a game first.
But before that I want you to
group yourself into four.

Are you ready class?

I will give you an envelope and
inside is a puzzle and all you have to
do is to arrange it to form a picture.

You only have 30 seconds to


do the task and after doing it, just clap
your hand as a sign that you are done
and one of your group mate will tack
it on the board.

materials to each group.)

all about Zumba!
For us to understand more our
topic. Let us first define Zumba thru
concept mapping.

Now, I want you to give your


own idea about Zumba.

comes to your mind when you hear
the word Zumba.

I’m glad you have written those


words.

Now based on your answer,

Class, Zumba is a fitness work


out that uses music and
choreographed steps to form a fitness
party atmosphere.

Zumba benefits us by body


awareness, great stress reliever and
it keeps people doing it because it is
enjoyable.

Please stand up and let’s do


our warm up. (Students will follow the given warm-up)

Class, before I will teach the


steps, kindly listen first to the music
for the familiarization of the rhythm.

2. Dance Proper

I will demonstrate first the


movements then we will do it all
together.
Let’s have the first combination.
- Roll over the ocean side by side
- Shield shield step (The students will observe the movement)
- Gangnam Style

Now let’s do it together! (The students will dance.)


Now let’s have the second
combination.
- Come come style

- Siko-siko
