GUIDELINES
1. The Registration fee is Rs 200/-per participant. The fee will be collected in cash only and is non-refundable.

2. The registration fee includes participation in a maximum of four events. For all events participation is team
wise and each team to consist maximum of two participants ONLY. Science Quiz (Quizuntu) and Fashion
Show (Global Fusion) are open-to-all provided participation in these does not exceed the maximum limit of
4 events. For other events participation can only be in either ONE of the following:
i. War of the Words/ Serotino
ii. World on my platter/Minute Made

3. ABOUT THE EVENTS: We have planned 6 events this year, with a surprise twist:
a. Quizuntu (Science Quiz): The most popular event year after year, this year the Quiz returns bigger and better.
First all teams will have a written qualifying round (MCQs) after which the top 6 teams will be chosen for the
Final round.

b. War of the Words (Debate): Get ready to fight it out in this explosive event! Topic will be given on the spot to
each of the teams and 10 minutes will be allotted for preparation. The participants will be given 2 minutes to
speak for/against the topic, followed by 1 minute (to each team) for rebuttal. First six teams will move to the
final round.

c. Serotino (1 minute to activate our Serotonin-The Happiness Transmitter): ‘Happiness is the best make up. The
participants can take the stage and perform for the audience. Any kind of talent is welcome – songs, poems, readings,
comedy, plays, dancing or whatever other skill you want to show off. We give you 2 minutes to spread happiness
through your act. The use of hateful, defamatory, offensive, profane, vulgar or abusive language is not allowed
and the participants would be immediately disqualified.

d. World on my platter (Cooking): We strongly believe that ‘There ain't no such thing as wrong food.’ We present our
theme ‘Ubuntu’ by asking the participants to put forth a dish that represents the fusion of global culinary delights.
The nutritive value of the dish needs to be mentioned as well. The dish would be judged on nutritive value,
presentation, taste and how well it represents our theme of food without barriers. All ingredients/utensils/materials
have to be carried by the participants themselves. No refrigeration/Microwave/ice will be provided. Only simple
Bunsen burners are available. No extensive cooking to be done.

e. Minute Made (Puzzle): Are you a master at putting puzzles together? Then this is an event for you. This event tests
how well you communicate with your partner. You have to ‘see’ through your partner’s eyes in order to solve the
puzzle. Which ever team completes their puzzle in the shortest possible time, wins.

f. Global Fusion (Fashion Show): This one is for all the fashionistas out there. This year's fashion show presents our
theme ‘Ubuntu’ in an all new format. Participants have to present their adaptation of our theme into their clothing &
accessories and a short verbal explanation at the ramp, if required.
