Haven House
Haven House is a domestic violence shelter and program serving victims of family violence in
Henry, Jasper, Butts and Lamar Counties.

The current building opened in 2011 and can house 40 to 50 residents. Adult women who
come to the shelter alone are housed in a double room and share a community bathroom.
Mothers with children are housed in an individual family room with a private bath. There are six
double rooms and eight family rooms. There is a playroom for younger children and a lounge
for teens, in addition to the large community living room. A large, modern kitchen provides
several cooking areas. There are two spacious laundry rooms for residential use. The Haven
House shelter provides for both privacy and socialization, with trained staff available to help
guide residents through the process of finding legal protection and moving to more permanent
housing.

Crescent Pines Hospital


Crescent Pines Hospital offers both inpatient and outpatient services for children ages 4-12,
adolescents ages 13-17, and adults. Located in Stockbridge, Georgia, the treatment programs
focus on behavioral health, substance use disorders and dual diagnosis. The staff of mental
health professionals evaluates each patient to determine patient stabilization needs and
develop an individualized treatment plan based on the initial assessment, nursing assessment,
psychiatric assessment and a psychosocial evaluation.

They offer medication management, as well as group, family and activity therapy. The programs
are led by board-certified physicians and assisted by trained staff members.

Crescent Pines Hospital’s Assessment and Referral Services Department is available to assist
individuals ages 4 and older experiencing a behavioral or chemical dependency issue. They
provide children’s behavioral health services as well as adolescents and adult treatment.
Crescent Pines Hospital treats patients with issues that relate to depression bipolar disorder,
schizophrenia, anxiety, adjustment disorders, personality disorders and psychosis.

Services available:
 Free Confidential Assessments, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
 Psychiatric assessments conducted by master’s level counselors, registered nurses or
other qualified mental health professionals
 Crescent Pines is an emergency receiving facility
 Crescent Pines contracts for ambulance transport
 Crescent Pines Hospital will accept direct payment of fees for individuals who do not
have or want to use insurance. Crescent Pines is an approved provider for most major
insurance companies and Managed Care plans. Please feel free to call 770-239-6988 to

Hands of Hope Clinic, Inc. gives the uninsured and the underserved exceptional dental and
medical care. Individual well-being and community health are our first priority; and we strive to
give “hope” to the residents of Henry County through our convenient and accessible location
on Piedmont Henry Hospital campus. Piedmont Henry Hospital continues to generously provide
our clinic with the vital diagnostic services we so urgently need to maintain your optimal health.
We have a number of specialized doctors and technicians who happily volunteer their time and
expertise to make our mission here of sustaining better community health a reality.

Those who qualify must also attend a New Patient Orientation.
New patient enrollment/pre-screening hours are:
Monday – Thursday, 9am – 3pm (closed for lunch 12 – 1:30pm)
Providing proof of eligibility
If you are looking to enroll as a new patient, you must be able to provide both proof of
residency and income before we can book your $10 initial appointment or $5 follow-up visit(s).
MUST BE: Adult resident of Henry County, Georgia, no current health insurance coverage,
including Medicare or Medicaid
Income falls at or below 300% of the federal poverty level
MUST HAVE:
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License (CANNOT BE EXPIRED)
or
• Valid Georgia Identification Card (CANNOT BE EXPIRED)
or
• A valid Photo ID (Passport, Employer or Student ID)
• most current year complete federal tax return OR verification of non-filing statement (IRS
Form 4506).
Individuals residing in rehabilitation centers or shelters must provide a dated letter or referral
confirming their residency in the shelter
If employed: 2 most recent pay stubs, OR Letter from Employer verifying current income
(letter must be on employer letterhead)
If unemployed: A Quarterly Wage Report from the GA Dept. of Labor (Local office located at
1630 Phoenix Blvd., College Park, GA (Phone: 678-479-5886)
If self-employed: Current profit or loss statement must be included for all self-employed
members of the household, and all forms and schedules filed, and a Quarterly Wage Report.

Pregnancy Resource Center


The Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County located in McDonough, Georgia is a pregnancy
care clinic committed to providing women and men with evidence-based information and
services in order to make informed decisions about pregnancy, sexual health, and relationships.
You may be facing many decisions and your choices can be overwhelming. Because everyone
should have access to evidence-based pregnancy information, our services are FREE of charge.
In addition, please know that they do not distribute birth control.

A Call Center is Open 24/7 for Immediate Assistance and to Schedule Appointments.

The mission of Helping in His Name Ministries, Inc. (The Food Pantry) is to model the love and
compassion of Jesus Christ by providing food to the hungry and needy people of Henry County.

The mission is carried out by a volunteer work force and a small staff using donated food and
money. Their mission is usually short term or Stop Gap help - long term relief is usually outside
the scope of their mission.

Offers a wide variety of services that are LOW COST and HIGH QUALITY to the Henry County
Population:
 WIC services
o You may qualify if you are pregnant, just had a baby or are breastfeeding your
infant. Your child may qualify up to their 5th birthday. If you qualify, you receive
a nutrition assessment, health screening, nutrition education, referrals to other
health and social services, vouchers for healthy foods and much more.
 Vaccines
o The following vaccines are available for Medicare part D recipients: Please have
your insurance information readily available when you call to make an
appointment. They can also inform you on the progress of you and your child’s
vaccines to stay up to date.
 TDAP (Tetanus-Diptheria-Pertussis)
 Zostavax (Shingles)
 Hepatitis A
 Hepatitis B
Please call ahead to ensure the vaccine is available and that it is appropriate for you.
 Comprehensive family planning services include (Call ahead for appointment):
o Health history and physical exam
o Pregnancy testing and counseling

o Provision of effective contraception methods/ birth control options

o Treatment and referral services
o Follow-up on abnormal pap smears
