Topic: School Start at 10 a.m.: Best and Appropriate
Audience: You are speaking to students and teacher of North South University. All people
are students and teachers. Here 35 to 40 students and 10-15 teachers are listen
my speech. All teachers and students are highly educated.
General Purpose: To persuade.

Specific Purpose: To convince my audience that class start 10 a.m. are better than those that
start very early in the morning.
Thesis: Even though it is easy to start off class 8:00 a.m., it is the one cause of mental

and physical pressure for all students and also teachers.

I. Introduction:

A. Attention Getter:
1. Have you ever felt too sleepy in your 8am class?
2. Did you ever feel like you cannot absorb what your lecturer is
discussing?
3. Most students find waking up very early in the morning a very hard
task.
4. They experience procrastination because of insufficient time.
5. Today, I will convince you that it is better to start class at 10 a.m.

B. Reason to Listen: Class at 10 a.m. are keep your mind fresh and class at 8 a.m. are
very harmful for your mind and academic career.

C. Thesis Statement: Even though it is easy to start off class 8:00 a.m., it is the one cause
of mental and physical pressure for all students and also teachers.

D. Credibility Statement:
1. I have done research on internet and I found that there are many school,
colleges and university change their class time 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and they saw
their result is positive.
