Living up to expectations is a tedious job,if we have achived even a fraction of it,it

would not have been possible had not been for our professors who had helped
us immensely throughout.we would like to express our gratitude to our
professor Mr .S . Hore & Mr. S. Bhowmik for their constant help & support.

We learnt a lot through the process of completion of this project and we are
sure this will help us in time come. Away from the bookish knowledge this
first hand work on software tools using visual basic as a platform, was no
doubt a breath of fresh air.
Thank you

There’s a Mountain of reasons that are working for it. Since the Expansion

online conversions and transactions, the online businesses have
further realized the importance of A Shopping Cart for their Online Stores.

 Introduction :
Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows
consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over
the Internet using a web browser. Consumers find a product of interest by
visiting the website of the retailer directly or by searching among
alternative vendors using a shopping search engine, which displays the
same product's availability and pricing at different e-retailers. As of 2016,
customers can shop online using a range of different computers and
devices, including desktop, computers, laptops, tablet
computers and smartphones.

3
Software Overview
This project is a Visual Basic 6.0 based project. As the title goes
Online Shopping Cart is a beginner level software which
does most of the manual labour that takes place in ordering
online goods .

Technical feasibility

Technical Feasibility deals with the hardware as well as software

requirements. Technology is not a constraint to type system
development. We have to find out whether the necessary
technology, the proposed equipments have the capacity to hold the
data, which is used in the project, should be checked to carryout
this technicalfeasibility.
The technical feasibility issues usually raised during the
feasibility stage of investigation includes these

 This software is running in windows 2000 Operating

System, which can be easily installed.
 The hardware required is Pentium based server.
 The system can be expanded.

4
Behavioral Feasibility

This feasibility test asks if the system will work when it is

developed and installed.
Operational feasibility in this project:

The proposed system offers greater level of user-friendliness. The

proposed system produces best results and gives high
performance. It can be implemented easily .So this project is
operationally feasible.

Economical feasibility

Economical Feasibility deals about the economical impact faced by the

organization to implement a new system. Financial benefits must
equal or exceed the costs. The cost of conducting a full system,
including software and hardware cost for the class of application being
considered should be evaluated. Economic Feasibility in this project:

 The cost to conduct a full system investigation is

possible.
 There is no additional manpower requirement.
 There is no additional cost involved in maintaining the
proposed system.

CONCLUSION

Technology has made significant progress over the years to provide

consumers a better online shopping experience and will continue to do so
for years to come. With the rapid growth of products and brands, people
have speculated that online shopping will overtake in-store shopping.
While this has been the case in some areas, there is still demand for brick
and mortar stores in market areas where the consumer feels more
comfortable seeing and touching the product being bought. However, the
availability of online shopping has produced a more educated consumer
that can shop around with relative ease without having to spend a large
amount of time. In exchange, online shopping has opened up doors to
many small retailers that would never be in business if they had to incur
the high cost of owning a brick and mortar store. At the end, it has been
a win-win situation for both consumer and sellers.
