IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHOOL CHILD PROTECTION POLICY IN


TRES MARIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Section 1: Title. This Policy is called “SCHOOL CHILD PROTECTION POLICY”.

The school adopts and implement policies that will ensure safety and protect the
rights of every children in the school from Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying. It is an act of
any intentional written, verbal or physical act that greatly affect students. It may be in terms of
physical harm or destruction to student’s property, effect to the student’s education or a threat
to the educational environment.

Section 2: Child Rights and Responsibility Policies

2.1. Students to students Policy

1. Any act of harassment, intimidation and bullying is strictly prohibited in the


school.
2. No students shall intimidate, harass or bullied other students.
3. No students will be involved in, punching, slapping or even spitting to other
students.
4. No students shall steal money, valuable things or other educational item to
his/her classmates or even to teachers.
5. Cutting of classes is strictly prohibited.
6. No students shall make false accusation to other students.
7. No students shall join in any group or organizations not allowed by the school.
8. Pupils participation in any activities outside the school shall only be participated
by the approval of the school Head/School Principal when it is done during school
hours.
9. Any students who will be involved in the above listed act of harassment,
intimidation or bullying or committed a violation of the rights of other student
shall be put to disciplinary action in accordance with the prescribed policy on
pupils discipline.
2.2. Rights and Responsibilities of students

1. The right to receive competent instruction, relevant quality education in line with
national goals and conducive to their full development as a person.
2. The right to avail of school guidance and counseling in shaping their personal
development.
3. The right to access to their own school records, which shall be preserved in a
confidential manner by the school.
4. The right to expeditious action for the request of issuance of official certificates,
transcript of records, grades and other documents needed.

Section 3: Protection against reprisal, retaliation or false accusation.

1. No school employee, student or volunteer may engage in reprisal, retaliation or


make false accusation against a victim, witness or one with reliable information
about an act of harassment intimidation or bullying.
2. A school employee, students or volunteer who has witnessed or has reliable
information that a student has been subjected to harassment, intimidation or
bullying whether verbal or physical, is encouraged to report such incident t an
appropriate school official.
3. A school employee, student or volunteer who promptly reports an incident of
harassment, intimidation or bullying to an appropriate official, and he makes this
report in compliance with the procedures of the school policy, is immune from a
cause of damages arising from any failure to remedy the reported incidents.

Section 4: Implementing Rules and Regulations.

This school policy on Child Protection is effective starting School Year 2018-2019 and
beyond unless otherwise rescinded.
