CADDAWEN
SUBJECT: CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION
ASSIGNMENT

1.What kind of curriculum exist in the article?

A kind of curriculum exist in the article is has no organized system of education and
possessed of culture of their own. No formal non-formal or informal education exists without
the curriculum.

2.Explain the last two paragraph in the article?

I think that education is always adapt even there are changing condition. Like for example
in what happen in the article that one day the glacier began to melt so they need again another
new technique to how they survive, and someone who trained the children.
3.What is the difference of education and training?
The difference of education and training is education in this article is not exist because
educational system here is not formal because the learners is not attending a school to gain
knowledge, skill and understanding. Based on the article training is only the skills of the learner
they develop, because in the article there is someone who introduced activities for the children
in order to survive.
4.Define and explain the type of curriculum and why is type of curriculum is needed in the
school?
1.Recommended Curriculum
The curriculum may come from a national agency like DepEd, CHED and TESDA.As I explain
this most of the school curricula are recommended to be implemented in the elementary,
secondary, or higher education. This recommendation come in the form of memoranda or
policy, standards and guidelines
2.Written Curriculum
Written curriculum includes document, course of study or syllabi handed. As I explain this
the schools, districts, division, departments or colleges handed down for implementation. Most
of the written curricula are made by curriculum experts with participation of teachers, example
of written lesson plan of each classroom. The recent written curriculum is the K-12 for Basic
Education.
3.Taught Curriculum
The different planned activities which are put into action in the classroom compose the
taught curriculum.as I explain this for example when we execute our lesson plan teacher should
demonstrate mastery of the subject being taught, and select teaching styles and the learning
style of the learners.
4.Supported Curriculum
To have a successful teaching other than the teacher, there must be materials which should
support or help in the implementation of a written curriculum. As I explain this, we need
instructional materials or resources appropriate to the learners, these include print materials
like charts, posters, worksheets, include facilities computers, audio-visual room, playground,
laboratory, market, plaza, museum, and others.
5.Assessed Curriculum
This refers to a tested or evaluated curriculum. As I explain this teacher should give
evaluation so that teacher will see to it if the students are progressing or if the learners
understand the lesson being taught.
6.Learned Curriculum
This refers to the learning outcomes achieved by the students. This is the result or
outcomes, of the test or quizzes done by the learners during their evaluation. Learned
curriculum will also demonstrate higher order and critical thinking and lifelong skills.
7. Hidden curriculum
This is the unintended curriculum which is not deliberately planned but may modify
behavior or influence learning outcomes. As I explain this, there a lot of problem in the school
example peer influence, school environment, mood of the teacher and many other factors
make a hidden curriculum.
Now that you are fully aware that there are seven types of curricula operating in every
teacher’s classroom, it is then very necessary to learn deeper and broader about the role o f the
teacher in relation to the school curriculum. We need to implement and apply in the school.
