The land of various gods and goddesses, languages, festivals and customs where

individuals from different communities, religions, cultures celebrate, enjoy and


live together as one i.e. Indians. No wonder, India is incredible.
Good morning to one and all present here. We are all joined together as a
family to revel addition for another milestone in our campus of celebrating our
first Republic Day celebrations.It’s been 69 years since the Constitution of India
came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act
(1935) as the governing document of India.
And On this day It is an honour to be surrounded by you all who have come to
grace the occasion.

One tree can start a forest, One word can frame a goal, One candle can wipe out
darkness, A true leader has a confidence to stand alone.
The quote above said is very much filling to Ms.Anuradha our dear principal
who is a perfectionist, a catalyst and a motivating force for all of us here. On this
special day with merging of minds we welcome you dear Madam.

“The teacher who indeed wise, does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom
but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind”.
I take this opportunity to honour and welcome our dear teachers, who chisel
and shape students’ lives and make them to be a good citizen of this society.
Dear teachers, undoubtedly your sense of commitment, sacrificial service,
immense patience, responsibility, play a key role in every child’s growth. A
warm welcome to you all.

associations, to turn things around and express them in a new way”.
Behind this success are great people who do common works uncommonly well.
I would like to welcome our non- teaching staff, for their continual and co-
operative support, who work hand in hand with us .

Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future
Yes dear children, you are the gift’s of god, precious pearls of the society and
building blocks of the strong nation. The institution and its manifold activities
revolves around you, you become the centre of everything.

It’s a pleasure to welcome each one of you again.


With freedom in mind, faith in our heart, memories in our souls, let us
remember the golden heritage of our country and feel proud to be a part of an

Yoga:
1) Surya Namaskar – Grade 5 students are here to demonstrate this.
or Sun Salutation is an ancient technique of paying respects to the Sun and
constitutes 12 different postures. It is a form of expressing gratitude to this
source of all life on the planet.
Surya Namaskar helps calm the mind and improves concentration and
endurance. It reduces the feeling of anxiety and restlessness. Regular practice
of Surya Namaskar also gives strength and vitality to the body.

2) Tadasana: Anantha and Kowsik

In Sanskrit language, Tada – Mountain and Asana – Pose, so it is called as


Tadasana (Mountain Pose). Tadasana yoga pose is effective to increase height
and stretching your body from feet to your arms.

3) uthkatasana - Sanjana, sanjith

Do you know what “utkata” means in Sanskrit? It means fierce, and


“asana” means pose. We get Chair Pose from the fact that you mimic the
position of sitting in a chair. Nevertheless, if you’re looking to tone those tired
legs, Utkatasana can bring out your fierce side!

4) chakarasana – nidarshan, sakthi

The name “Chakrasana” comes from the Sanskrit words “Chakra” which means
wheel, and meaning of Asana is “Posture” or “seat”. Chakrasana or the wheel
pose is a backward bending yoga asana. Chakra in Sanskrit means Wheel. In
chakrasana, the final position looks like a wheel, hence the name. It gives great
flexibility to the spine.

5) eka-padhasana - gomathi

Eka Padasana or One Foot Pose is a balancing asana. Eka Padasana is useful to
improve neuro-muscular coordination of the body. Eka Padasana is a balancing
pose and gives a sense of control of bodily movements to the practitioner.

6) yogamudhra - nikarika

The Sanskrit word mudra is translated as a gesture. A mudra may involve the
whole body or could be a simple hand position. Mudras used in combination
with yoga breathing exercises enliven the flow of prana in the body, thereby
energizing different parts of the body.

7) mahamudhra – meenakshi, rakshana

Maha Mudra is a technique to raise the human consciousness to higher levels


and for improving health. Maha Mudra is called the great gesture by the yogis,
because of its importance as it helps one to experience the higher states of
consciousness in meditation. . Mudra gives physical and spiritual benefits. It
improves digestion and cures the disorders of the stomach.

8) ustranasana - same

Ustra = Camel : Asana = Posture or Pose


Ustrasana is an intermediate level back-bending yoga posture known to open
Anahata (Heart chakra). This yoga posture adds flexibility and strength to the
body and also helps in improving digestion.

9) halasana: sanjana

The term Halasana is a combination of the words ‘hala’ (the Sanskrit word for
Plow) and asana (meaning posture). This yoga pose increases the blood flow to
the abdominal organs and it also stimulates the thyroid and parathyroid glands
which is why it is one of the most commonly recommended yoga postures for
women
