STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

My name is Prince. I reside at Village Jaikhar Dist. Patiala (Punjab). I was born on 29-NOV-
1999. I have Joint family. There are 6 members in my family that is my Grandfather,
Grandmother, my parents and two siblings. My father is a Farmer, my mother is a homemaker,
and my younger Sister is studying in 12th standard.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND

I have completed my secondary education from Mother India Public School, Patran in
Commerce stream in 2018. Both by matriculation as well as +2 were from the same school that is
affiliated to CBSE. My CGPA was 9.6 in 10th and 59.9% in 12th.

Why Diploma of Global Supply Chain Management

After completion of senior secondary in commerce, I have two options either to go for
accountancy or business management. I can opt for Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of
Business Administration. Since, I wanted to be careful and do not want to commit any mistake
related to my career, hence I did extensive research on the career options available in the area. I
found if I opt for B.Com, I need to complete CA that would take at least five years after three
years bachelor degree before I can expect good job and returns. There is great need of the
managers who can handle not only the staff but also communicate with the foreign clients in
effective way. Considering such a great scope of the management sector, I have decided to have
a career in management. This made me to choose Diploma of Global Supply Chain Management
from Matrix College Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Course Benefits

The commerce sector especially the e-commerce sector is growing at large. With this, the Supply
Chain Management has a large industry based role. Diploma in Supply Chain Management
course includes the concepts of Supply Management and also explains all the applications in
real-time. The program will help us develop an effective supply chain management overview;
provide us with an ability to point out loopholes in the supply chain system and also a knowledge

WHY NOT INDIA:-

Undoubtedly, number of public and private sector institutes offers this course in India. However,
there is no use of having degree from the local institute. You can expect to get skills and good
paying job only if you have graduated from renowned B-schools like IIM – Ahmedabad, IIM
Bangalore, Gurukul Institute of Management and Technology - [GIMT] However the irony is
that due to high competition, reservations policy and high cut offs, it is very difficult to secure
admission in these institutes. As you need to move out of your home the cost is almost the same
as studying in other country. Further there is huge gap in what is taught in the educational
institutes and industry standards that makes it difficult to secure the job.

WHY CANADA:-

Though Canada was not in my list, I was more inclined towards the USA and Australia On the
other hand, unlike India, education from western world not only offer quality education but stress
is laid on learning the concepts rather than cramming the theories. This system of education
bring the best out of the student and help him to develop the problem solving skills and makes
the smooth transition possible from the student to an efficient employee.

Moreover, Canada has become a better study option for all the international students by
facilitating good international exposure, a diverse cultural interaction and a strong statement for
one’s CV. The country boasts of a number of high ranking universities in the world offering a
number of high quality popular courses. Foreign students mean good income for the government;
hence the latter takes keen interest in education sector of the nation. All the expenses regarding
my education fee, living expenses and other expenses can be easily covered by my family
members. My family has always supported me as pillar to my decision and my career.

Above all, it is a beautiful country, so once in a while you can take a break and travel to all the
beach destinations that Australia is so famous for. The country has a strong Asian community
presence so I don’t think I will ever miss speaking my mother tongue or eating familiar food.
WHY CHOOSE THIS COLLEGE:-

After I decided to choose Canada as my study destination, I was bombarded with number of
options. Capilano University, Simon Fraser University, Sheridan College, Langara College but
the fee range was very high. That is why I decided to first go for Diploma at Matrix College as
fee structure of this college is very appropriate according to me. Apart from the recommendation
of my consultant, I have got good reviews. The staffs of Matrix College are well qualified.
Curriculum is up to-date and meets the industry requirements. In addition, college offer excellent
student support services that include welfare and learning support. Further it is situated within
the city limits.

FUND DETAILS.

As far as cost of my education is concerned, my Father and Grandfather are supporting me and
earns a good amount annually so they paid my fees very easily and also they can support me
financially during my stay in Canada.

To conclude, I believe that this decision of mine to pursue my studies in Canada will prove to be
a turning point that will shape my future. It will help me to realize my career goals.
