FIRE DRILL EXERCISE

1. OBJECTIVE
- To ensure employee awareness and understanding on conducting fire drill and be able
to impart observations and findings during the actual drill for processes and protocol
improvement during evacuation.
2. SCOPE
- All CGGH employees.
3. PREPARATION
a. Informed Concern Authorities for the upcoming activity.
b. Heads up to all department heads.
c. Checking of all evacuation routes, exit doors, muster points.
d. CSO conducted preparation briefing prior to the actual fire drill activity.
e. Setting of Fire Drill Materials/Equipment:

i. Set up a vehicle to act as an ambulance.

ii. Utilization of fireman’s suit and spine board.
iii. Preparation of burning materials for Fire Extinguisher DEMO
iv. Utilization of 2 class AB Fire Extinguisher
v. Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping for the activity.

4. ACTUAL FIRE DRILL:

SEQUENCE of EVENTS:

0954H - alert level CODE 2 was raised at 9th floor by CCTV control.

- COMMUNICATION TEAM raised the alert level to all ERT members

- FIRE FIGHTING TEAM immediately proceeded on the affected area to

contain the fire.

0959H - Fire uncontainable, CSO raised alert status from level CODE 2 to alert
Level CODE 3.
- CSO ordered and advised for complete evacuation.

1002H - Control inform all radio units and alert ERT members.
- COMMUNICATION TEAM called the assistance of the following:

- RESCUE and EVACUATION TEAM to clear out all rooms

- Housekeeping: acknowledged and marked rooms with an “X” sign to
indicate that the room is cleared out.
 - CROWD and CONTROL TEAM to coordinate with local traffic
management. To ensure clear traffic for the coming fire trucks and
emergency response vehicles. To properly direct employees to the
assembly area.
- FIRST AID TEAM applied first aid to assumed injured employee.
- assumed victim was rescued and sent to hospital by an assumed
Ambulance.
1010H - Complete evacuation.
1015H - Alert Level Status set back to ALERT LEVEL CODE 4.

 Fire Drill smoothly conducted.

 It took 7 minutes to evacuate all employees.
 No disruption to Hotel’s operation.
 No accident, injuries or damages.

5. FINDINGS and OBSERVATIONS:

Fire Drill activity was participated by local police and City Garden Makati Hotel’s security.

Overall, the conducted Fire Drill was done smoothly. All lapses and mishaps are noted and will be
subject for improvement and development.
