This document describes and analyzes the dry forest formations and woody species diversity in Ecuador. It recognizes seven main dry forest formations in Ecuador: 1) dry spiny shrubland, 2) deciduous dry forest, 3) semi-deciduous dry forest, 4) dry slope forest, 5) southern dry inter-Andean forest, 6) eastern dry inter-Andean forest, and 7) northern dry inter-Andean forest. It lists 275 woody species found across these forests formations, including the families and provinces where each species is found.
