I. PRESENT EDUCATION

Reaction
In present time, education in the Philippines is a broad issue to talk about.
Adapting the new curriculum is a risk to be taken by our government. This also affects
the educators group, students, parents and the different departments that implement
this.
This report tells us about how our educational system flows. Reporters discussed
the different views and focal of education today. They also discussed the problems
encountered and how it was dealt by the different person involve in the educational
system.
The reporters also introduce a glimpse of the new curriculum implemented in our
country today.

II. LEGAL BASES OF EDUCATION

Reaction
The reporters discussed about the different legal bases of education such as the
four dimensions of legal bases, the Philippine Constitution of 1987, the Educational Act
of 1982, otherwise known as Batas Pambansa Bilang 232, and the Educational of 1994,
otherwise known as Republic Act No. 7722.
In this topic, I refreshed my previous knowledge about legal bases of education
from my bachelor’s degree. These topics also take me back of what to be reminded in
the field I belong. With these topics, I can now tell my students of how serious education
too be taken, not only because of its value to them as a person but also because it is
their right to have quality education. Quality education then will be given by the
professional teachers that will be hired by the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC)
that took first their education units in their bachelor’s degree and passed the Licensure
Examination for Teachers (LET).

III. ANTHROPOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS

Reaction
The reporters discussed the anthropology as a science, its definition, braches,
importance, the evolution, and human evolution.
In this topic, the reporters focus on how the man started, how they have been
educated through themselves and by their nature or surroundings. It was also focused
on how human beings have started exploring things and discover things on their own.
As a relation of this today, many of us is still exploring and discovering new
things by ourselves, and by these discoveries we learn things that we need for our
future.
IV. CULTURE

Reaction
The reporters have discussed the different components of culture, different
viewpoints/perspective on culture, other symbolic uses of culture, categories of culture
in Philippine society, and the causes of cultural change.
In this topic, the different culture in the Philippines was discussed, how they are
differentiated by one region to another, or by one group of people to another. Culture is
most likely affected by the changes happening in the surroundings. Modernization takes
a big change to the old culture that indigenous people of the Philippines have
structured.

V. SOCIOLOGICAL IMAGINATION AND SOCIOLOGICAL


PERSPECTIVE

Reaction
The reporters have discussed the its definition of terms, goal of sociological
inquiry , fundamental procedures in sociological inquiry, methods, techniques and tools,
traits and behavioral characteristics required for sociological inquiry.
These topics focus more on how the society circulates in one country or nation. It
was how a society should go through different phases of changes it also explains the
various techniques, methods and tools to distinguish or be certain about how a society
should go, especially if for example many people was still confused on how should
things go.

VI. SOCIAL INTERACTION

Reaction
The reporters have discussed the nature and approaches to social interaction,
the based on information and based on unity or opposition.
Nowadays, socializing to one person to another is very easy through the use of
social networking sites and other applications that makes the communication easier to
reach for those who are far from their loved ones. It was just an example of how people
interact to one another. Social interaction also involves opinions and reactions to issues
that is happening in a society. With these issues, it depends to the person on which side
he’s going to favor and choosing that side will need a concrete decision. This decision is
sometimes decided by facts and evidences.
VII. COLLECTIVE BEHAVIOR AND SOCIAL MOVEMENT

Reaction
The reporters have discussed the nature and meaning of collective behavior,
theories about it, preconditions, its types, views explaining crowd behavior, types of
crowd, role of rumor in collective action, division of public, and mass communication.
These topics focus on how collective behavior affects different social
movements. Many groups that was structured today was because they have common
goals or aims that they want to be heard by many. These aims or goals begin because
of having the same thought on one issue. These also discuss how the power of a group
built by one goal can move a huge person in a country to its right position.
