IV. PROCEDURES
A. REVIEW RECALL-LILIT!
The learners will watch a video clip showing different designs of
garments/clothing.
What was shown in the video?
What can you say about the models’ wear?
What are the Principles of Design?

B. MOTIVATION The teacher will show a torn kids short.


Why do you think I showed you this short?
Have you ever tried repairing your clothes?
How did you do it?
Can you tell me what our lesson is all about?

C. LESSON PRESENTATION The teacher will present the lesson objective.


a. ACTIVITY ACTIVITY #1: STITCH IT!
The teacher gives paper strips to each learner as they look at a set
of pictures in the television. The learners have to analyze the
pictures and sketch a line or a design on the paper strip which they
have seen on the pictures. After 2 minutes, volunteers will share
their work to the class while others will exchange with their
seatmate and look if they found the design or lines from the
pictures.

What were the lines or designs presented?
What do you call this lines/designs?
Where do you usually see stitches?
Can we use these stitches in repairing your clothes?
Aside from the common stitches that you can see, what are other
stitches that you know? Can you name it?

ACTIVITY #2: WHAT AM I?


The class will be divided into four (4) groups (according to the
numbers written at the back of each paper strip distributed
earlier.)

Each group will be given pictures of hand stitches and paper strips.
They will identify the pictures within eight (8) minutes and write
its name on a paper strip. After the given time, they will post the
pictures on the board together with the name of the stitch they had
come up with. Each group will get two (2) points for each correct
answer.

7 pictures were identified correctly – 14 points
6 pictures were identified correctly – 12 points
5 pictures were identified correctly – 10 points
4 pictures were identified correctly – 8 points
3 pictures were identified correctly – 6 points
2 pictures were identified correctly – 4 points
1 picture was identified correctly – 2 points

c. ABSTRACTION The learners will listen and take note of the teacher’s discussion as
