Marketing strategy

Marketing Strategy plays a crucial role in the growth of an organization. Many

companies are not able to decide upon the moot question - whether to invest i
n discounts and promotion or to invest in enhancing their reputation in the ma
rket. Companies use various methods and strategies to compete with each oth
er. One of these measures is placing offers and discounts on their products. I w
ould advocate to invest in discounts and promotions periodically, which will als
o add to reputation in the market and aid to the revenue growth. The basic go
al of promotions is to increase customer base and to increase the revenue of
the company.

Firstly, companies have to spend on advertisements to promote their discount

s and special offers. Once the advertising campaign is successful, customers wo
uld be lured to purchase the product and consequently enhancing the sale of t
he company. For an instance, Nestle promotes their noodles with discount on
price, would attract customers to buy the product as compared to the other pr
oduct in the same segment. This will createan influx in revenue during that peri
od and also contribute to the reputation of the company.

Moreover, some start-up companies hit the market hard with offers to launch t
heir products. This helps the company to make the consumers aware of their p
roduct in the market and this is the only way they can sustain in front the multi
national companies. A low price is quoted specially for the new products, so th
at the buyers give it a preference over the other known items . Once , the buye
rs are familiar with the product and the sales increases , the discounts will be t
aken off. This is a very lucrative method used by the companies today.
Overall, we can say that discounts and offers not only promotes the reputation
of the company, but also is an avenue to generate revenue for future plans of
the company.

Foreign language instruction should begin in kindergarten. Discuss.

As one of the adage goes, “The limits of my language are the limits of my world
.” Indeed, the ability to speak several languages is considered one of the hallm
arks of a cultured person. From this perspective, foreign language instruction s
hould begin as early as possible in order to achieve near-native fluency. The re
asons behind this approach are intellectual, social and professional.

Intellectually, learning a foreign language at a young age enables children to de

velop their brain. At this age, children’s minds are like sponges and their capaci
ties are limitless. They have less inhibition or biases against learning different s
ubjects. They can learn one, two or three languages without confusion; it woul
d only serve to expand their minds. Therefore, it is ideal to start teaching a fore
ign language in kindergarten.

Socially, learning a foreign language enables the young child to enter a wider c
ultural world. By learning to speak, think and understand a different language,
the child develops greater cross-cultural awareness. This critical ability enables
the child to make friends with, identify with and empathize with others who sp
eak the additional language.

Professionally, by learning a foreign language in kindergarten, the child expand

s his/her future career horizons. In today’s increasingly globalized world, biling
ual and multilingual individuals are in high demand. The child who achieves thi
s fluency naturally and easily at a young age already has an edge over others in
the job market.

In summary, numerous benefits flow from teaching a foreign language from ki

ndergarten. The child will most likely grow up to thank those who made such a
learning experience possible.
Shopping malls

Large malls are spreading their wings all around the globe by replacing traditio
nal small shops. It is becoming apparent in all urban areas. It is agreed that mal
l culture should be promoted, but not at the cost of small shops.. This will be a
nalyzed by looking at how convenience and economic benefits has made them
the preferred choice of customers.

To begin with, infrastructure of big malls facilitates consumers to shop conveni

ently. Malls are equipped with large parking spaces, lavatories, food courts and
entertainment arenas which make them desirable than small shops. One can s
pend an entire day with their friends and family as there is something for every
one. Considering all this, it is clear that the mall would be preferred over the sh
ops.

Moreover, malls are good for the economy as they generate employment oppo
rtunities and generate more income. For instance, the availability of a variety o
f products at the same place attract more people. This proves why they are rep
lacing small shops. From this, one can conclude that an uptrend in mall culture
is definitely better.

This analysis proves that the economic benefits and ease of shopping experien
ce have made malls desirable over traditional shops. In a nut shell, albeit the b
enefits of the small shops, advantages of malls outweigh them.

Law can change human behaviour

Laws are an inevitable part of a society, they are required to keep the society a
nd country in order, harmony rather than vandalize everything in chaos. Howe
ver, there are positive as well as negative impingements of imposing laws. This
will be analyzed before any conclusion is derived.

Firstly, countries which follow the law stringently has a low crime rate. Conside
ring Singapore, where smuggling of drugs is indefensible felony and leads to th
e death penalty which in turn creates fear among the people and restricts the e
xecution of such illegal activities. This exemplifies that law impacts the human
behaviour.

However, enforcing laws can place limits on the behavior of people, it really ne
ver can change the human nature which is immutable. This seems to be a very
plausible point if it is thought superficially, but peruse the study of human natu
re and history might prove things otherwise. For an instance, people who are n
egatively impacted by law or been considered disparaging or derogatory by soc
iety resist to be part of the society and may egregiously act against the laws en
gendering harm to the lives of people.

To summarize, the law should be imposed considering the positive as well as n

egative impact on human behavior. It has been proven that many countries us
e this as a tool to reform. It is expected that lawmakers will continue to use it f
or the betterment of the society.

Illiterate of 21st century

The advancement of the contemporary era has literally changed the definition
of literacy. With rapid technological changes, it has become imperative to adap
t new skills and dump the obsolete. It is agreed that to stay relevant to the con
stantly changing environment one must not only know how to read and write,
but also need to know how to learn, unlearn and relearn. This essay will discuss
compelling reasons to accord the rubric.

Firstly, innovative inventions is changing the way we do things. For an instance

, computers Operating System’s started with DOS and recently an upgraded ve
rsion -Windows 10 has been released. It was mandatory for an individual to unl
earn DOS and learn and relearn the upgraded versions to stay afloat in the Sea
of Changes.

Moreover, to stay relevant with the technology, it has become essential to kee
p on learning constantly. The latest innovation in telecom sector - smart phone
s with advanced cameras and multi-tasking features lured people to buy it and
imposed them to learn and relearn the new features of the new phones. This e
xemplifies that to be known as literate in this century, one must repeatedly up
date the learning process.
This analysis proves that to be relevant of this era of regular inventions, embra
cing the changes is the mantra of life. In a nutshell, those open to learn, unlear
n, and relearn will be the new literates and it is expected to persist in upcomin
g decades.

Company’s top level employees

In today's competitive world, it has become essential for all organizations to do

their best in every sphere of their business. Innovations and new ideas have b
ecome, somewhat indispensable to be able to remain as a part of the competit
ion. Now, the question is who in the organization should take part in making th
e business survive?
Many higher level authorities feel that employees should be utilized for doing
what they are hired for. On the contrary, others want to push them to responsi
ble positions of decision making. Both sides will be critiqued before reasoned c
onclusion is found.

Today, many hold the idea that employee’s involvement in the decision makin
g process may hamper the growth or the reputation of the company. Manage
ment has a belief that taking ideas and suggestion from everybody would only l
ead to chaos. Employees may provide suggestions having personal interest, wh
ich could be harmful for the company. Also, any unhedged risk may lead to sub
stantial losses. This proves that only mature managers should participate in the
decision making process.

Conversely, involving employees in the process may dig out the hidden talent o
r skill for the benefit of the company. Often employees deal directly with the cl
ients and know exactly their requirements. This aids to decide the best avenue
to comply with the clients demand and what initiatives will enhance the client
relationship eventually leading to the growth of the organization. Thus, authori
ties should back employees and push them in a role in decision making.

Overall, after diligently analyzing these two points, it is believed that employee
participation in decision making with the support of management is a benefici
ary to the company. Advantages of employee involvement in decision making
outweigh the disadvantages.
People spend more time at work
Professional and Economic goals are more important or personal life.
I got success means different to people. Some work long hours however some
prefer free time over wealth
20. Professional and Economic goals are more important or personal life..

Balanced lifestyle is key to happiness. Modern lifestyle has disrupted the work-
life balance. People spend most of their time at work and can't dedicate any ti
me for their personal life. On one hand, people work for long hours by compro
mising personal life and others propagate work life balance. Both arguments wi
ll be weighed prior to reaching any conclusion.

Today, many people work strenuously for long hours and do not find time for t
hemselves as well as family. For example, a few years ago, an intern, aged 22,
working for an investment bank died as he could not get time to recuperate fro
m his work load. It goes without saying that extending oneself too much can je
opardize ones personal life. Thus the idea of compromising on personal time to
work extra hours will lead to deteriorating health and life.

Conversely, some proponents support work-life balance. One of the research d

one says that men who spend or manage time on personal life and social life is
more productive and happy. It is easy to understand why this argument has gar
nered more support.

After diligently analyzing both views, one can conclude that a balanced approa
ch to health , profession, family and personal life will ensure a healthy life. Sim
ply by learning to manage time we can live a stress free life. Hence we need to
understand that profession is part of life, not the other way round.

Environment and pollution

5. The enviornment we are living is in danger due to various problems so who do you think shoul
d be responsible to solve it. Is it the government, large companies or individuals.

No one can overlay the fact that the planet we live on is a serious threat. Huma
ns are responsible for a variety of environmental problems, but we can also tak
e steps to reduce the damage that we are causing to the planet. This essay will
discuss environmental problems and the measures that governments and indiv
iduals can take to address these problems.
The environment is afflicted by two main reason, i.e. air pollution and waste. Fi
rstly, rapid industrialization has led to massive deforestation. Secondly urbaniz
ation of rural areas to support industries has augmented the emission of CO2 l
eading to Global Warming, which may have devastating effect on planet in futu
re. As human population increases, we are also producing ever greater quantiti
es of waste which contaminates the earth and pollutes rivers and oceans.

Government, corporations and individuals should work in close proximity to re

duce the impact of this issue. Government can design and implement strict law
s against air polluters. Companies should produce recyclable and eco-friendly p
roducts. As an individual, we should move towards adapting organic lifestyle.

In a nutshell, we are the reason for this mess and we need to take measures c
ollectively to live in harmony with nature. Hence governments and individuals
must play their part in looking after the environment.

Celebrities
16. Imitating celebrities in sports and movies good or bad?

Today, many youngsters follow celebrities like sports stars and film stars as the
ir role models. This can be seen all over social media. It is disagreed to follow t
hem and this will be considered by taking into account immoral acts of sports p
ersonalities and derogatory roles played by film stars.

To begin with, recently many cases have been published of athletes using illega
l power boosters like drugs or steroids. This impacts negatively on the minds of
his/her follower. For an instance, Lance Armstrong, winner of several Tour de
France races, was found guilty of using performance enhancing drugs. Hence y
oungsters should be discouraged to follow such sports star.

Secondly, film stars only show their façade to public and not their real life. It is
also seen glamorous film stars playing derogatory roles in movies. For an instan
ce, Sanjay Dutt, an Indian actor has played roles of mafia or villain, taking drugs
, robbing banks and living a lavish lifestyle. This sets a bad example for adolesc
ents. Also, he has been found guilty in the court of law, for some illegal activity.
This exemplifies that such film stars should not be a role model. Youngsters ad
miration of these personalities should not be supported.
On the other hand, we also see celebrities doing charity and have inspirational
talent to showcase. This analysis proves that all successful celebrities may not
be role models. In a nutshell, youngsters should not follow this jazzy personalit
y blindly. It is recommended to teach youth to follow virtuous characters.

Dangerous sports

Today extreme sports are making headlines either for making world records or
for creating awareness about the potential danger. Banning the sport is strongl
y disagreed as it deprive an athlete from freedom to choose from and it is also
deterring for the economy.

To start with, in today’s liberal world, a person has freedom to choose his spor
t or recreational activities. It is seen that smoking and drinking are major cause
s of death and yet they are not banned. On the contrary, skiing and rafting has
reported few casualties. This exemplifies that depriving players from their passi
on is unfair.

Moreover, as these sports are a niche industry, it attracts many spectators fro
m around the world and it contributes to the revenue of the economy. For an i
nstance, mountain bike championship in NZ attracts many tourists, which creat
es an influx of revenue for the economy. This exemplifies that, government sho
uld promote and support such sports and clearly outline the safety guidelines f
or the participants.

It has now been shown that banning extreme sports will deprive athlete and ec
onomy of their respective benefits. It can be concluded that rather than imposi
ng ban on such sports, financial and infrastructural assistance should be provid
ed for safety measures.

Place and success

1. Person is successful due to place he grew in. Explain with one example of such person.

Undeniably person’s vicinity plays vital role in molding his success. This has bee
n seen in many metro cities in the world. Native environment plays a major rol
e in inculcating traits such as leadership, social skills, etc. Conclusion will be der
ived on the basis of the analysis done considering the amenities and infrastruct
ural development of the region.
Many people travel far-off from their native in search of conducive environme
nt which will aid in achieving their goals. Arnold Swarzzenegger, one of the gre
atest body builder/actor is from Austria. However, he was not supported by th
e infrastructure during his adolescent years to accomplish his dreams. Consequ
ently, he had to relocate to Venice, California, which was considered as the M
ecca of body builders. Today, he is an icon for aspiring body builders. This clearl
y shows that lack of amenities is a huge obstacle and hence people have to mo
ve away from their natives.

Moreover, development of place goes hand in hand with success. For an instan
ce, if a person who wants to be an entrepreneur and if the place is underdevel
oped to provide him wherewithal like appropriate funds or skills required, then
he has to look for the place where he can get enough support to fulfill his amb
itions. DhirubhaiAmbani, a famous Indian businessman achieved all his success
only after relocating from his home town. While moving to different places he l
earnt different people and various skills which he was not aware of at his nativ
e place. And these new learnings helped him rule the business world. Hence, t
o accomplish goals, place where person grows up plays very crucial role.

These analyses clearly states that amenities and development in a crucial ingre
dient for achieving successful goals. In a nutshell, there is a strong correlation b
etween persons vicinity and fulfillment of his goals.

Over packaging

Over packaging is a clever tactic that many manufacturers employ to make thei
r products look attractive. There are analysts who hold the opinion that over p
ackaged food should not be avoided while another group believe that it should
be avoided. In this essay, assertions will be given for both the side of contentio
n before deducing a reasonable conclusion.

Firstly, over packaging is favored by some people as they are of opinion that it
keeps food products fresh and edible. For example, s
ome biscuit manufacturers place biscuits in small plastic tray and covered with
multiple layers of packets. This keeps the biscuits fresh and crispy albeit of the l
ong transition phase till it reaches consumers.
In these cases the manufacturers reason for over packing products seems liabl
e.
On the other side, people believe that over packaging is not a benign practice. I
t does not help anyone except the manufacturer. Over packaging hurts the con
sumer and the environment. Wastefully packaged boxes take up a lot more spa
ce than necessary in shipping trucks. As a result, to carry the same amount of c
argo, trucks have to make more trips. This results in the wastage of energy, ma
terials and manpower. Paper is the most common material used for packaging.
This has led to deforestation. . All the materials used for packaging will eventu
ally end up in landfills, creating problem like global warming and air pollution.

To conclude, the negative impact of the over packaging outweighs the positive
side. Hence, a consumer should stop buying and manufacturers should conside
r the environmental impact and redefine the alternatives.

Mass media and impact

1.TV is source of entertainment its positive and negative impacts.
2. communication has changed in the past 10 years. Discuss the pros and cons
3. The means of communication in society changed in last 10 years. Adv and disadv.
4. positive and negative effect of communication through social networking sites, email and mobile phones.
20. Positives and Negatives of Mobile phones, Which one do you support?

Mass Media is a mighty informative weapon of the modern epoch. Every day p
eople all over the world watch TV, read newspapers, listen to the radio and use
Internet and this way perceive information, widespread by the mass media.
Television plays significant role in disseminating information and shaping peopl
e’s opinions. Since its invention television has been used for several different p
urposes including but not limited to broadcasting information, imparting knowl
edge and providing entertainment to masses. This essay focuses on the positiv
e and negative effects of television.

Television has a lot of positive effects on society and culture. Television has pla
yed an important in child as well as adult literacy. Studies show that people ar
e able to understand and memorize information better if they see visual image
s. as compared to radio programmes, which broadcast only voice. Television pr
ogrammers provide voice as well visuals which help the audience get a better u
nderstanding. For example, it is difficult to express and understand how the let
ters of alphabet look like via a radio program, on the contrary through televisio
n program people will be able to better understand because they will not only
be able to hear the sound but also see how the letter looks like.
1. Television keeps you informed about current events. It allows you to follow the latest developments in sc
ience and politics.
2. Many television programs introduce people to things they never thought of before and have never heard
of before.

3. Television has been good company to those who do not work, like housewives, lonely old people, etc.

4. It brings most distant countries and the strangest customs right into your living room.

5. Television may be a vital factor in holding a family together.

6. Television keeps people informed of the news and weather. disasters like floods, winds, etc.

Another advantage of television is information democratization. This means th

at television has made it easier to access and learn new information which was
not available in public domain and used to be passed on from father to son an
d from mother to daughter.

On the other hand television can have a significant negative impact on society
and culture. Some television programs may encourage violence within societye
specially among youth. For example, war movies and other programs that simu
late violence on television have the potential to ignite and promote violence. S
preading disinformation among the masses is another disadvantage of televisio
n. For example, a lot of countries resort to providing incorrect news forshaping
and direct public opinion as well as distracting from real issues.

To conclude, television plays a very important role as a tool for broadcasting in

formation to masses. It has the potential to change the way people think and t
herefore depending on its use it can either be beneficial or prove disastrous for
society. It is therefore important to be discrete the use of television.

Parents' responsibility for children

Often kids behave in an unacceptable manner, sometimes in a way that is not t

aught by parents. It leads to a moot question that “Who is responsible for it?”
Since, several studies on developmental psychology have led to the observatio
n that a child’s mind is like a blank slate. So I believe parent’s should ne respon
sible for their child’s act. By taking this into account, we will analyze who kid’s l
earn things by observing and from the teaching of their parents.

Firstly, it is said that, children are like sponge, they absorb and imitate everythi
ng they observe. Ideally, during development stage, children learn language, cu
lture and manners by observing their parents. If in case, if a parent is abusive o
r alcoholic, chances are very high for child to imitate and behave similarly at a l
ater stage. This shows that parents are responsible for the child’s actions.

Secondly, it is the parents responsibility to teach basic mannerisms, discipline a

nd law. There are many incidence of a youth shoot out at schools or colleges i
n the US. It is the parent's responsibility to instill them with good morals and to
teach them the differenceass

between right and wrong. Parents also maintain the ability to enforce their rul
es while their children live in their household and their rules should include not
breaking the law.

This shows that there is an obvious link between parents' behavior and childre
n’s act.

Only thing interfere is my education

Education is a systematic study of various subjects. This may constrain person's

learning ability due to its limited scope of teaching. It is agreed that education
is a hindrance to ones learning. This will be shown by analyzing the limited sco
pe of teaching and inability to cater to an individual's interest.

To begin with, since historical times, the scope of education is confined to text
books and teachers' understanding. For an instance, engineering students are g
iven textbooks and teachers teach them the functioning of the machines. This r
estricts 'out of box' thinking and the pupil's ability to go beyond the scope of th
eir degree. Looking at this, it is obvious that the education system is limited to
the boundaries. Thus, Einstein meant that education did not encourage him to
reach his maximum potential.

Furthermore, every individual is unique. Students' are inclined to various subje

cts which are not offered in standard schools. Consequently, they have to wait
till they acquire minimum compulsory education till they get to learn their subj
ect of interest. For example, a student who is interested in sculpting has little s
cope in standard school and has to learn other subjects that is of less interest t
o him. This clarifies that schools can only provide basic and standard education
which is a hindrance in students' growth.
This analysis proves that confined scope and standardized pattern of teaching i
s a big obstacle in the process of learning. In a nutshell, education definitely int
erferes with persons' learning.

War of idea ppl get killed

It’s irrefutable fact that common man always suffers from group ideology. Man
being a social animal usually prefers to belong to a group. Sometime personal i
deas may vary from that of the group. Many groups with fringe ideas force a co
mmon man to act in the group's interest and deprive him of his liberty.

It is felt by many that the common man is often searing from the heat caused b
y group's ideology. This has been apparent since time immemorial. For exampl
e, in 1960, America's ruling party congress was anti communist and decided to
send its troops to support Vietnam's democratic party. Many common America
ns were forced to join military to participate in this war. It goes without saying i
n spite of the person's unwillingness to follow the group, he has to be a victim
of the group's ideology.

Moreover, war stemming from various ideologies deprives a person of his liber
ty. In a recent case of the Islamic State, few people with extreme ideology kille
d innocent people in the name of religion. People living in Islamic States invade
d areas have to act according to these people's fringe ideologies where a com
mon man, who has nothing to do with it, is being killed ruthlessly. Thus an argu
ment in support of rubric is difficult to debunk.

In a nutshell, wars of ideas compel a common man to act against his will as wel
l as take his freedom from him. Henceforth, the general public has to pay a hea
vy price for group ideology. As long as group work in their self interest, this tre
nd is unlikely to dissipate.

Fomal written education

Many students’ dislike exams. Without a doubt, formal written examination is

used widely as assessment criteria, however, this is refuted by many on the gro
unds that it tests only memory. Both sides will be critiqued before reasoned co
nclusion is found.
To begin with, the majority of the educators believes that written examination
s are the only assessment criteria to test students' skills. These types of exam c
an test students' ability to perform in a strict time frame. For example, pupils st
udy all round the year and his response to written examination act as a proof o
f his knowledge of the matter. Such exams can be conducted throughout the c
ountry and students can be assessed equally irrespective of the college they st
udied and their influence on college and teachers. Thus, this is considered a be
st approach to check one's credibility.

On the other hand, this assessment style is vulnerable to cheating, fraud and h
uman error. Students' use variety of methods to cheat and they may move abo
ve their peers. Furthermore, often exams get rescheduled because of paper lea
k. Many students' send their papers to re-check and bribe the examiners if the
y are not happy with the mark.

So to sum up, schools must adapt holistic approach and written assessments sh
ould be a part of it.

English is dominant language

2. Many people think that English will lose its international status. Due you think globalization will be a reason ?

In today's era, English is most prevalent language around the world. It is most p
referred language of communication by a majority of the international players.
It is believed that throughout the globalization, English will remain as the most
dominant language as it is the second language of most of the world's populati
on and it symbolizes advancement.

To begin with, over a billion people use English daily as their second language a
nd it is proliferating. For example, countries with the highest population, namel
y, China and India use English in key sectors such as education and business, w
hich is the nucleus of the country. This clearly exemplifies a dramatic uptrend i
n upcoming years. From this, it can be said that English will be the most powerf
ul international language.

Moreover, since the majority of developed nations has English as primary lang
uage, in developing countries it has a symbol of advancement. For an instance,
majority of company's originated in English speaking countries and operate int
ernationally. To trade with them, it is necessary to speak in their language. This
example, evidently proves that English will be the lynchpin of globalization Eng
lish.
These analyses prove that, firstly the dominance of advanced nations and seco
ndly the use of English as a language education has made it primarily internatio
nal language. It has now been shown that in the coming centuries, the English l
anguage will dominate the world's trade. To summarize, we can predict that En
glish and globalization will always show a positive correlation.

Disease.

Get married
2) it is argue that getting married before finishing school or getting a job is not a good choice. To what extend do u agree or disagree

Many people get married before completing their studies or before getting sett
led in their career. It is apparent in universities and offices. It is argued that this
can be arduous at times. This will be shown by how it can afflict an individual’s
academic and unestablished employment.

To begin with, responsibility of a spouse can augment persons chore to a great

er degree. For an instance, a married person has to take out some time out of
his academic schedule to spend with his spouse, whereas a single person can f
ocus on his studies and can achieve higher scores. Looking at this, it is clear tha
t marriage is a hindrance in a student’s life. It is better to delay marriage and c
oncentrate on studies

Furthermore, initial stages of work life is usually gruelling. One has to spend a c
onsiderable amount of time to establish himself in a good position. There are p
ossibilities of travelling to different locations or branches. If the spouse is depe
ndent, then it becomes difficult to cater the demand of the work place. Lookin
g at this example, it can be said that getting married before settling on a job is
not a good decision.

These analyses prove that, it’s beneficial to complete studies and get a stable j
ob before getting married. As an adage goes, “ a person trying to catch two har
es, catches none”. In a nutshell, it is recommended that one should manage his
own life before adding the responsibility of a spouse.
Talk about the pros/cons of this era as is full of daily

Recent technology invention impacts on society. Positive and negative.

In this modern era, everyday new innovative inventions are made which benefit human beings and society. Let us discuss the merits and d
emerits of the inventions that is used in our day-to-day life.

Undeniably, it can be said that invented innovative products have benefitted a lot to human race. Due to escalating inflation and change i
n the demographic structure of educational paradigm, both men and women are working in MNC’s and corporates to live a lavish lifestyle.
To manage their time for executing their daily household chores, they use refrigerator, washing machine, grinder, flour mill, etc. As a resul
t, these inventions have helped them to complete their tasks easily, quickly and without any hassle. However, the life of people has becom
e dependent on this newly invented machines. If some or the other machine fails functionally, there are no alternatives and people have t
o struggle to complete their chores.

Moreover, communication has become very easy using email and chat software, especially due to its accessibility on smart phones. Howev
er, this has made people less active and more stressed. Traditional form of mails, letters has almost vanished and people spend more time
on social media than meeting people and friends. As a result, people are getting dependent on internet.

To conclude, the invention in various areas in the 21st century has revolutionized the person's life in a day-to-day basis with numerous ben
efits, however there are also drastic effects of this technology. I hope that inventions will continue in the future and cannot be retrained, b
ut we should see that we are using these innovative invention products in moderate amounts.
It is irrefutable fact that inventions are occurring almost every single day. Scien
ce and technology has advanced many fold in last 100 years. There have been
many inventions in the field of medicines, aviation and computers. Though it h
as made our life safe and comfortable, many believe that inventions are creati
ng new problems. This essay will examine the both pros and cons of technolog
y advancement before deducing any conclusion.

To begin with, most of inventions are done to solve the problems we were faci
ng in our life. It has made our life easier and convenient. For instance, medicin
e has saved billions of life from epidemic diseases such malaria, typhoid and ot
hers. Most of us wouldn't have survived without the help of antibiotics. Compu
ters have changed the way work. Most of our tedious works are automated wit
h the use of computers and machines. With new technologies such as smart ph
ones, internet and social media has made it easier to communicate with anyon
e in any part of the world.

On the other hand, There are some inventions which have afflicted man kind. F
or instance, inventions of weapons especially nuclear gadgets are extremely da
ngerous for the existence of entire life forms on the earth. Secondly, use of mo
tor vehicles contaminate environment and has devastating effects such global
warming and climate change. Nevertheless, continuous usage of cell phones an
d laptops specially by the young generation and working people, problems like
backache , neck pain, blurring of vision and dryness of eyes is on the rise.
After diligently analyzing above views, we can conclude that advantages of inv
entions outweigh the disadvantages. Government should use technologies and
machines by keeping negative impacts in mind.

Climate Change and global warming:

Global warming and climate change refer to an increase in average global temperatures. Natural
events and human activities are believed to be contributing to an increase in average global temp
eratures. This is caused primarily by increases in “greenhouse” gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO
2). A warming planet thus leads to a change in climate which can affect weather in various ways, a
s discussed further below.

As per recent research, there are 7 indicators that would be expected to increase in a warming wo
rld (and they are), and 3 indicators would be expected to decrease . Glaciers, snow cover and sea i
ce will decrease, and Temperature, humidity and sea level will increase.

While governments must take prime responsibility for reducing climate change,
individuals too can play a part. Political leaders across the globe need to cooperate
so that research into renewable forms of energy such as wind and solar power is
properly funded and the use of coal and gas in power stations is phased out.
They must also of course ensure that regulations against logging are properly
enforced. Consumers of energy can help by insulating their homes properly and
using solar panels where possible so that less energy is required and wasted. These
actions should limit the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and so reduce the
greenhouse effect.
In order to effectively address global warming, we must significantly reduce the amount of heat-trapping
emissions we are putting into the atmosphere. As individuals, we can help by taking action to reduce our
personal carbon emissions. But to fully address the threat of global warming, we must demand action from our
elected leaders to support and implement a comprehensive set of climate solutions:Expand the use of
renewable energy and transform our energy system to a cleaner one
Place limits on the amount of carbon that polluters are allowed to emit. Build a clean energy economy by
investing in efficient energy technologies, industries, and approaches. Reduce tropical deforestation and its
associated global warming emissions.

In conclusion, while global warming is a serious threat to humanity, there are a

number of steps that can be taken to reduce

at do you think is the most important of them? Why? Greatest invention in the last 100 years, medicine, scie
ne or technology?
Science and Technology has advanced many fold in the last 100 years. There have been countless inventions in
the field of medicine, airplanes and computers. It has progressed (enhanced) human lives in all spheres by ma
king our life safe, comfortable and convenient. Among all the inventions, the most revolutionary one is the adv
ent of computers which started in the age of wars. In fact, Computer have become indispensable for communi
cation, education, banking, travelling, health care, aviation industry, and any other industry one can think of.

Today, computers are heavily used in education department, which is sudden change from traditional teaching
. Student cannot think of carrying(pursuing thier) on the studies without access to computers. “Internet” - has
made the world a much smaller place to live in by providing information on any possible thing, just at a click of
a button. Students use it for their projects and enhance their knowledge in the subject.

Communication with the help of World Wide Web has become a part and parcel of daily life. Now, family and f
riends can have video chat between any parts of the planet. This has become extremely useful for people to tr
avel, work and live thousands of miles apart, by maintaining a close contact with their dispersed dear ones. Per
haps, computers have become an essential tool for further innovation, across all industries. The effective antib
iotics could not have been invented at this pace had computers not assisted the scientists. Similarly, aviation in
dustry would not have flourished with its application. In spite of its darker side, computers are expected to do
wonder even further, in the coming days to mankind.
The Banking industry is heavily relying on computer technology. Transaction and their record tracking is not m
ore a daunting task by the grace of computer invention.

In summary, there are many inventions in the last 100 years that have changed the world and have made it a b

22. In under developed countries, tourism has disadvantages and can be said the opposite as well.
In recent decades, low cost airfare has made international travel easier and many countries have, therefore,
developed their tourism industries into key sectors of their economies. While it is clear tourism brings
obvious benefits to the countries that host tourists, it is also true to say it may bring disadvantages as well.

Undoubtedly, there are significant benefits that tourism brings to a country. First, a thriving tourist industry
implies an increasing need for a variety of services such as hotels, transport, restaurants, and
entertainment. This results in a considerable number of jobs being created for people who lack a college
education and also the development of the infrastructure needed to accommodate visitors. Moreover,
tourism is a "green" industry that, unlike factories, generates a low level of pollution. In fact, because
beautiful natural landscapes are often places that tourists come to see, a country will often be sure to
maintain the landscape in order to keep it attractive for tourists.

Despite the benefits, there are aspects of tourism that may prove harmful to a country. For instance, a
country may suffer from the loss of their traditional culture. This is caused by people in a country changing
their lifestyle, customs, and language in order to more effectively serve visitors or because they become
influenced by foreign countries. This can cause stress in a traditional society and could even lead to
animosity towards tourists. In addition, because tourists often carry expensive objects like cameras and are
unaware of their surroundings, they make good targets for theft. Crime also increases as a result of the
increasesin drugs and prostitution that caters to some vacationers.

In summary, global tourism is greatly beneficial to an economy and environment of a country. However, it
can be detrimental in several ways. To my way of thinking, a country should seek to develop its tourism
industry because it can bring steady jobs to many people without their need for higher education and
without the risk of environmental damages.

Polygamy has led to massive divorce rate around the globe. Give possible solutions for various situations
to reduce the issues
2. Polygamy has led to massive divorce rates around the globe. Give the possible option for this
issue and various solutions to reduce the rates?

https://pteielts.wordpress.com/2016/07/08/polygamy-has-led-to-massive-divorce-rate-around-the-
globe-give-possible-solutions-for-various-situations-to-reduce-the-issues/

Polygamy means a Man can have multiple wives. Multiple marriages by individuals have increased the divorce
rate in many places around the world. Polygamy gives rise to many crisis like domestic violence, clash of
thoughts, hike in expenses, mismanag4ement of resources, inheritance disputes and jealousy among family
members. It becomes very difficult to maintain relationships which lead to separation. In my opinion the
possible solutions to these issues are in the introduction of strict laws, motivating for women empowerment and
compulsory education or all.
In polygamous society, man seeks wife among woman of younger ages. As he continues to have multiple
partners, the earlier wives get dejected and the man loses interest in them. This leads to clash of thoughts,
domestic violence, conflict of interests, jealousy and discord. Repeated incidents, further breaks the
relationship, and finally ends up with a divorce. In addition to it the children of polygamous wives also suffers
emotionally and for economic resources. (it’s also possible that man with multiple wives might find it tough
manage entire family and may end with divorce.)
Polygamy is associated with many social problems and I believe both government and society should work
towards it in controlling it. Government should impose stricter laws so that the women are not exploited by men.
Also women should be made aware about their rights and be provided with equal rights in the society. Women
empowerment should be encouraged, to reduce the dependency of women on men. An educated man and
woman can take wise decisions, so government should encourage the citizens to provide compulsory education
to all children. Alternatively, in case of divorce a heavy amount of alimony should be imposed in order to
discourage it.
Lastly, spreading awareness and campaigns about the ill effects of polygamy can also be an effective way to
tackle the issues. It is a well known fact that “unity is strength” and a united family will always bring prosperity.

Its irrefutable fact that polygamy is practiced in many countries and it has resulted in increasing divorce
rate. This is apparent in many Arabic nations and east countries. Polygamy refers to a trend where
person can have multiple spouses. This has engendered massive divorce rate around the globe. This
essay will examine the substantial factors before deducing any conclusion.

To begin with, it’s prevalent in case of men having more than one wife. Men are increasingly seeking
new wife among younger ages. Having more spouse can be arduous at a time and can increase daily
chores to great extent. It goes without saying men can suffer economically and can find it difficult to
take out time to spend with spouse and children. Moreover, polygamy is engendering serious crisis
such domestic violence, envy among family members, clash of thoughts and inheritance disputes. This
is increasing divorce rate and it is can detrimental to children life.
Polygamy is egregious to society and therefore, society and government should work in close
proximity to reduce the underlying issue. Government can enforce strict law against polygamy and can
restrict the multiple marriages. Creating awareness and employing frequent campaign can significantly
advantageous. Moreover, Women should be educated and should be made aware of their rights in
society to stop men from exploiting women. Heavy alimony can be beneficial in discouraging divorce.
Furthermore, it is well said that unity is strength and united family can bring prosperity.

Cultural Shock is a new worrying concern for few immigrants. What are the few possible options to
eradicate this?
Cultural setback is causing a panic in the minds of migrants when they reach the new country. Newcomers faces
a lot of teething problems when they arrive in the foreign country in form of adjusting to new language, food
habits, diverse laws, unfamiliar customs and religion. These hurdles can be overcome in different ways. In my
opinion flexibility and adaptability with proper preparation and respecting the laws and customs of the land will
help the immigrants to settle down fast in the new land.
Firstly, prior to leaving your native country one should get oneself acquainted with the new laws and customs of
the foreign country. Moreover, learning the language of the visitor’s country would be an added advantage. It is
commonly said that “When in Rome be like a Roman”. Adjusting to the new culture, climate and food habits
will help the migrants to develop liking and enjoying the foreign culture. To illustrate this many immigrants
from the Asian countries migrates to developed countries like Canada, U.S. They focus on their purpose and are
not perturbed by anything else.
Secondly, the newcomers should immediately understand and follow the law of the land in order to keep
themselves away from any trouble. Migrants can mix up with their own community people in the foreign
country to ease down the initial stress.
Lastly, another sensitive issue is of “racism”, which the migrants can face in the foreign country. In that case the
best solution is to face the situation with patience and then take the issue through a proper channel to the
concerned authorities. For instance, in Australia few years back there were few incidents of racism, which were
resolved peacefully with the intervention of authorities.
Finally, I would say that it is up to the attitude of the immigrants, how they would react to and
the new customs and regulations. In any case, one can enjoy with a new lifestyle and live happily.

4.Benefits and problems of studying and performing play in high school

3.Benefits and problems of studying and performing work related to old theatre play in high scho
ol.

There are certain benefits and drawbacks of learning old theater play
in schools. On one side we can learn old culture through these plays
while on opposite side these plays can prevent us from learing modern
plays and culture. This essay will discsss about positive and negative
side of this approach with relevant example.

On positive side, old theater plays are the main entity who still
preserved ancient culture and heritage. So, by learning these plays in
high schools, we can get vital information about our ancestors and
their life style. Such information is critical in case if we want to pass
our heritage to next generation. For instatnce, in India, ancient plays
today maintained important place in high school subjects which help
students to learn their culture and traditions. Hence, these old plays
are vital to preserve our ancient history.

On negetive side, even though these plays are full of information about
our culture and traditions, they often missguide students as our
ancestors lived in the superstitious world. Therefore, students try to
copy some of the wrong traditions into the life and can destroy their
career. For instance, there are many old plays in India in which women
got less important than men. Hence, students can follow such message
and they can also behave this way through out their life.

In conclusion, old theater plays show negative and positive side of our
history and it is upto students and their parents to choose which side
they want to follow.

23. The space travel is fantastic these day and they are very fascinate towards its but there are man
y environmental problems in our planet we should resolve the problems or travel space and spend a
lot of money.

Or Discuss both sides of Space travel vs current crucial problems faced by human
In the world today, many countries are increasingly expressing their interest in space travel and coming
forward with a great amount of investment. The recent one would be United States’ plan in sending
astronauts to Mars. The question of whether space travel is necessary rather than dealing with the current crucial
problem like overpopulation, conflict in Syria and extreme weather climate has become a much-debated issue. There are,

opinion that space program is complete waste of money and energy and has no benefit in our day-to-day
life. They believe that this money could be spend resolving environment problems such as global
warming, climate change and pollutions which have devastating effects on our planet. In this essay, both
sides of the argument will be critiqued before deducing any conclusion.

On one hand, participating in space travel would certainly carry advantages to human society. Common
secondary uses of space research are called as spin-offs. The advantages are, for example, inventions
resulting from space research, jobs created by the space program and better understanding of the world.
For instance, smoke detectors used in homes and offices were first prepared for aircraft as warning
system. Furthermore, artificial heart pump, mechanical arms that allows surgeon to operate third
instrument, artificial limbs, lightweight metals used in helmets, machines and airplanes, shock absorbing
shoes used by athletes are all spin-offs of space program. Research conducted by NASA to develop American
space program has benefited society in a number of ways. We are fortuned to have GPS technology, breast cancer test
imaging, an artificial heart pump, a mechanical arm that allows surgeons to operate three instruments and even a
lightweight breathing system for firefighters. Communication and weather satellites are as well by-product of
space research. From looking at this, we can see clearly how space travel had contributed to the human
population.

While, on the other hand, people are facing the crucial problem like overpopulation, armed conflict in
Syria and extreme weather climate in major parts of the world. Some people argue that we should
redirect all the resource to settle these issues, where government could introduce a more affordable
housing and creating more jobs, resolving issues amicably without drawing arms and guns, and even
solving extreme weather climate by reducing carbon monoxide in atmosphere. Unfortunately, all these
will take time and people want an instant resolution, which not possible.

In summary, it is agreed that participating in the space program will not stop from our current crucial
problem to appearing. People should recognize that more benefit can be achieved for all humankind by
continuing space travel.

Right amount of motivation and practice can teach one better than the training given to him in
classrooms by teachers

------------------
It is irrefutable fact that motivation and practice plays better role individuals success than
classroom training. It is rightly said that we require a dose of motivation daily. As one of the
adage goes “Inspiration can move mountains”. Indeed with right amount of motivation and
practice along with your education is very important for learning. This essay will examine the
substantial role of motivation and undaunted practice in person’s learning and success.

On the one hand most of entrepreneurs, sports persons and celebrities are trained by world class
trainers. This shows that training is inevitable. Even though trainings play crucial role in person
growth and success, it may not stand true all time. One can achieve his best only after
motivation.
Motivation plays a key role in learning. Unless a person is not motivated enough, we cannot
expect that he can imbibe whatever is taught to him. To get the best result students should be
motivated in what they are doing either intrinsically or extrinsically. Ambition, aspiration and
benefit to the individual are crucial in developing motivation. As one of the adage goes “Practice
makes man perfect”, indeed undaunted daily practice is imperative in achieving success. It’s
apparent in class that students would start performing well with frequent appreciations, prompt
and support from teachers.
To get the best results from a student, a dedicated effort integrated with devoted practice brings
out the best in him. To illustrate Mohammad Ali, the veteran boxer would practice so hard,
imagining his opponent. His hunger to defeat his competitor blended with inspiration and
undaunted practice will always get him a win.
Bechendari Pal (The first Indian to climb Mount Everest), Sachin Tendulkar the cricket icon,
Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison and King Robert Bruce are few examples of the people who
were never disappointed by their failures. They always motivated themselves and learned from
their mistakes and bounced back with even more power.

The quest for knowledge is enhanced, when powered with right motivation and ample practice.
Stephen Hawking is a perfect example to demonstrate this, with all his body is paralyzed and
only brain working, he is always motivated to move towards his next invention.
Lastly, I would like to conclude that any classroom training, if given with enthusiasm and
inspiration will lay the foundation of a strong base on which the student can choose his favorite
path and with ample amount of practice he can excel in any field.

In recent years, the proportion of the crimes committed by youngsters is on the rise. Discuss causes to this problem
and suggest solutions.
It is irrefutable fact that crime committed by youngsters is increasing alarmingly around the globe. In this case, in
many countries, juvenile delinquency has become a topical issue. This essay will examine the substantial factors
which are playing there predominating role to increase of juvenile delinquency before outlining appropriate
measure to cope.

There is a variety of factors that account for adolescents’ strong aggressive and criminal tendencies in a modern
society. First and foremost, loss of the family life and the increase in family violence could be a significant factor
to be considered. It is generally seen that more and more parents nowadays show an inclination to abuse their
children and treat them as an outlet of stress. According to the recent study in New Zealand, this behaviour of
parents leaves young children and teenagers a misleading impression about violence and gives them composure
when acting violently.

In addition to this, busy lifestyle of parents, repeated exposure to violence and delinquent peer groups, and so
forth are the another culprits. Furthermore, the spread of the Internet has compounded this effect.Despite the
cause discussed above regarding juvenile delinquency, there are quite a few readily solutions exist which could
be implemented to mitigate the impacts caused by the potential factors. Initially, good family life could be an
effective tool. It is generally seen that an under aged person correctly oriented in life if they have good family
values. Moreover, it is imperative that parents limit or even prevent children’s exposure to violence; a trigger for
their aggressive behaviours could be another indispensable key that can be adopted.
In last, undoubtedly, the crime committed by youngsters is increasing; however, above mentioned come concrete
steps can assist to mitigate the damaging impacts.

3.Can the Internet replace the classroom teachers?

There is no doubt that education and the learning process has changed since the introduction of
computers: The search for information has become easier and amusing, and connectivity has
expedited the data availability. Many believe that because of over-dependence of computers the
role of the teachers will be diminished in the classroom. Though experts systems have made
computers more intelligent, they have not yet become a substitute of the human interaction in the
learning process. In my opinion what can be expected is a change of the teachers’ role, but not
their disappearance from the classroom.
Nobody can argue that the acquisition of knowledge is more fun and easier with computers.
Students can get information on possible topic without the help of teacher. The mere activity of touching
and exploring this device constitutes an enjoyable task for a child. This, accompanied by the relaxing attitude and software
The fast and relatively low-cost access is
interactivity, usually contributes to a better grasping of new knowledge.
one of the major benefits of Internet to people and students all over the world. It is believed that visual
data has a greater impact on learning and memorizing than plain text. Therefore, with the help of
images, graphics, animation, pictures, slides, documentaries, videos, etc., children can gain
knowledge about a particular subject in depth. Another positive effect of Internet in education is the
provision of distance education or online education. With this facility, students can take up short-term
courses with the course material available online, attend virtual classes, learn, and appear for exams.
Computers and internet have been helping some students to progress in their studies quicker compared to studies in an
original classroom. For example, in the same classroom, students have different intellectual capacities, thus some would be
tied to a slow advance in their studies because of others’ incapability of understanding. In this way, pupils could progress in
their acquisition of knowledge at their own pace using computers instead of learning from teachers. At a higher educational
level the availability of digital books, simulators and other academic materials provide the student with an ever accessible
source of information, that otherwise would not be at hand. This exemplifies the importance of internet in
education.
But, besides the increasing complexity and behavior of intelligent software, which is usually embedded in the academic digital
material, the need for human interaction in the learning process will always be present, at least in the foreseeable future.
Teachers play an inevitable role in learning process especially in the early stage of the
education. Teachers are required in the learning process because they recognize students’
deficiencies or needs, and help accordingly by repeating the same explanation, giving extra
exercises or even suggesting a private tutor. The expertise of a teacher in how to explain and
adapt complex concepts to different individuals can hardly be mimicked by a computer, no matter
how sophisticated its software is. As computers are becoming a common tool for teaching, teachers should be more
aware of their role as guides in the acquisition of knowledge rather than transmitters of facts. They have to be open minded to
the changes that are taking places, keep updated and serve as problem solvers in the learning process, thus allowing students
Unlike computers teachers can always have a one to one interaction
to discover the fact for themselves.
and provide the valuable feedback to his students to improve their performance. Moreover, For
instance in Harvard and Oxford University, one mentor is assigned per student throughout his
course to guide and evaluate him.
So, In conclusion, the role for teachers in the learning process is inevitable and it will continue to
be same in the future because no machine can replace the human interaction and its
consequences.

Travelling to study is discussed to be overrated; there are many brilliant scholars who study
locally. Is travel really necessary for higher achievement

In recent years, there is an ongoing debate about whether travelling is an indispensable part of a
qualified education. It is believed that especially in developing countries, students who travel abroad
will acquire a far greater likelihood of gaining higher achievements.

Firstly, by travelling students may access to better academic resources. For the developing world, less
qualified universities exist, leading to greater competitions among high school students and
insufficient learning opportunities. If students travel to countries, such as Australia, qualified teaching
resources are more easily accessible due the abundant supply of educational facilities and
knowledgeable teaching staff. Thus, travelling can increase a student’s chance of receiving higher
education.`

Furthermore, be exposed to exotic culture promote the likelihood of achieving a rosy career success.
Whilst they may already be brilliant scholars, travelling provides students with the tremendous
opportunities to gain further knowledge and experiences. For instance, intelligent African students
often choose to study Agriculture in Australia, so they can bring valuable farming skills to their home
country.

However, travel is overrated for unmotivated students as they are likely to squander learning
opportunities, yet for the hard-working students, travelling is a doorway to career success.

To conclude, for most students in developing world, travelling for study is more beneficial than
studying in their hometown, as travel provides the diligent students with a wealth of educational and
cultural experience, vastly increasing their likelihood of being success. (234 words)

In the education system, assessments through formal written examinations are still valid.
Discuss your opinion with your own experiences.

In recent years, we have all been exposed to media reports concerning whether written examinations
are essential in our education system. In this essay, it will draw conclusions based on both sides of
the arguments.
Firstly, written examination is an objective approach to assess students’ capability. All students are
exposed to same exam settings with unambiguous marking criteria, which aim to avoid subjective
marking that occurs in other types of tests. The objectivity of written exams can be illustrated by the
rising importance of a highly standardized college entrance test in China. Every year, the sheer
number of students take the test and hundreds of universities acknowledge its validity. By excluding
human factors, the test is deemed impartial so that students academic performance can be fairly
assessed.
However, written examinations may bring about some detrimental side effects that undermine its
objectivity. Due to the significance of some written exams, students may under enormous pressure so
that they are unable to excel their full potential resulting in an unsatisfied test result. For example, my
brother was a gifted high school student who devoted to painting most of his time. Unfortunately,
drawing is not one of the testing subjects in the college entrance exam and this talent was not access
by such form of examination. The low school performance did not give him an opportunity to attend
the university he wish. Hence, the written test cannot said to be a true reflection of student’s ability.
In conclusion, there are both merits, such as being objective, and demerits, such as being partial in
some situations, associated with formal written examinations. Overall, it is argued that advantages
outweigh the drawbacks. (262 words)

Some people could stay effective in their lives by doing the repetitive routine, such as eating
the same diet. Do you think it can apply to everyone?

Advantage:
It gives them more confidence.
They can do their work more easily and efficiently.

Disadvantage:
Doesn’t give much need physical and mental change required for the body.
The one who try out things outside his/her comfort zone and interested in challenging work, always
excel in their life.

Some people do not prefer to change their daily routine and

want to continue with the same everyday processes. For
some people that might help as such repetitive processes
give them confidence. However, as per my opinion, such
practice in a long run creates certain damage to overall
personality of a person. This essay will discuss about
possible negative outcomes of this trend with relative
examples.

Firstly, even though same daily routine gives us confidence to

perform our task efficiently, such same schedule do not offer
change to our body and mind to release stress and pressure
of work. For instance, many workers do robotic work every
day in which they do not need to use their mind. Such
workers can not learn different methods in their field as they
prefer to continue with the same job. Hence, robotic life can
not help us to achieve our goals and dreams.
Secondly, repetitive routine does not offer much needed
mental and physical change that our body seeks. Today,
youngsters wanted to do something new and different
everyday because they want to enjoy uncertainty and
challenges. For instance, many experienced professionals
nowadays leave their stable and well-paid jobs and join
start-ups to do something different.

In conclusion, to enjoy our life thoroughly, our mind and

body required uncertainty which gives thrill and excitement
to our life.
